2-time Flame named Craig should hire 2-time Flame named Craig.

Sens is a good guess though.

2002 San Jose fired Sutter Dec 2. Dec 4 the Flames fired Gilbert. I remember on this board I figured the Flames could hire Sutter and they did 5 weeks later.

Smith should definitely be looking over his shoulder, Beribe won't be coaching next week but in a month or so, post Christmas, around the All Star break, like Sutter's hire timing here? Sure.

One of the scariest moments of my life was wasted Craig Berube wanting to rearrange my face.

But full props to him....he can coach.

Its becoming ridiculous how easy guys get fired now.

Sounds like an interesting story for sure… assuming a club in Calgary during his playing days, maybe late in his career?

Kind of a strange time to fire him given the team is a point out of a playoff spot and their record is about right where you would expect them to be.

After he played. 2004 draft in Raleigh.

Was there on a mission to try and make a deal with a team to supply the club i worked for with players that upcoming season (because of the trickle down effect of the approaching lock out).

Night before the actual draft we were at some bar in a downtown hotel where a bunch of the NHL world were gathering to say hello to old friends and make deals.

we were sitting at a table with the London Knights hierarchy (the Hunter brothers, their GM etc and a few retired players) when Berube walked up and just fixated on me for literally no reason I was aware of. (Later found out he mistook me for someone who he had fought somewhere along the way)

But seriously, his eyes seemed pure black with hatred and he is no small man and he wanted to pinata me badly. Dale Hunter and Ray Bourque diffused it quickly and i was there with Jeff Brubaker who wouldnt of allowed much either, but damn if i dont still get chills thinking about it.

I was thinking that too. Can't see him sitting on sidelines for long.

Blues are a terrible team with crap goaltending. Can't believe they did this. Like when Sharks fired Deboer.

It is interesting how GM's build winners then when they feel it slip they make drastic unforced errors. Pietreangelo should still be a Blue. Evander Kane and Karlsson should never have got those contracts.

Berube is a Sutter type coach. He got the most out of the players, and now they've tuned him out.

Yeah, I think he squeezed every drop he could out of that roster when he started and to his credit got a cup out of it, but like other hardasses the peak quickly turns into a downward trajectory, and often pretty fast. Also that team just isn't very good now. He had a great run there overall.

It's strange when the guy has proven he's a winner. I think they're trying to follow the Oiler's move and hope they can get a streak going with a coaching change. Don't you just wish you can get your supervisor or manager fired just because you and your team at work slacks off?:
