Haven't voted yet. I'm a little torn on this one, because it isn't bad.
I think that cirelli and 2nd isn't horrible for zad.
That leaves petry, chytil and hildeby for Terry and Samuelsson, which I think is a little light.
Will have to actually look at some stats

He's very good defensively.

Not a fan of this trade based on how many GMs have been looking for a true #1 C (look no further than the desperate Habs).
There is no way new guy knows this just coming in and I think could have fetched a good return on Z by himself. The other two guys he's sending are not shabby either.

no matter how I slice this one, it doesn't really make sense to me. Zibanejad is a stud, Terry is serviceable and Samuelsson is young and has upside ... the pieces coming back don't really reflect all of that IMO. Petry is 36 and an upcoming UFA. Cirelli is fine, but I feel there is not enough coming back, given the quality of the three that Ottawa is giving up.

I will say there’s a difference between fair and vetoable
Vetoes should only occur on blatant wins or fleeces or whatever you want to call them

It's also to give a new GM a realistic view of what trading in the CPHL is like. I think almost every new GM has had a rejected trade, and that's healthy.

A team like Ottawa is already very short on assets. So them trading what few valuable assets they have remaining, for a not good return, just makes the problem worse.
But this is why we do it this way. We put it to a vote. It doesn't rest in the hands of one person or a select few.
This is one that seems like could be tweaked and re-submitted with some ease to improve the return to Ottawa.

IMO this one isn't close at all.
If you liked all the pieces, you could maybe argue that package for Terry only.
But not for adding Zibenejad and Samuelsson...no way.
