But yeah what are they thinking? they should start renting DVDs and VHS there too

Funny you mention the DVDs because the parent company's main chain is Sunrise Records and Toys R Us changed a large portion of their stores to selling books.
I visited Rooms & Spaces and it looks awful, I think they must have bought all of Bed Bath and Beyond in liquidation and are just reselling the scraps with a new store color scheme. The stores are pretty empty at the moment.

Has anyone tried Cinnaholic? There’s one opening in Airdrie next week. Not sure on if I’d like it, based on the pictures they look a bit excessive? I dunno.

I mean I'd try their "old school" (regular cinnamon bun), but literally everything else on their menu looks like the silly gourmet donut craze of "just throw a bunch of random **** on top".

Are they as good as non-vegan cinnamon buns?

Cream cheese icing would not be vegan, therefore, it can't be as good as non-vegan.

Maybe already covered but Calgary's most-photographed landmark has been fully repaired and has been fully open for glorious conflict-free usage for a couple weeks now. Am obviously talking about the Peace Bridge that had been defaced and had been partially closed for about a year. The solution was instead of putting up replacement panels... they.... wait for it... installed.... RAILINGS. oh yeah baby.

Big 4 Motors moved out of their spot on MacLeod, seems weird with the lot so empty!
Wonder if the spot will be torn down.

What's wrong with that? This solution will reduce vandalism on the bridge, provide taxpayers with a cost-efficient, long-term solution, and best of all, they look great.

IIRC, there's a pretty large redevelopment plan for that area. I'm not sure where it's at, though, or if it's still in the works.

They've also cleared out their storage yard in Manchester Industrial in the past few days.

Ya I have been buying their raw cookie dough and consuming it right out of the container, often in minutes.
I suspect it’s about the worst thing you can eat.

A new resteraunt going into the old Jack Astors at Southland and Mcleod called Gaucho. Will be Brazilian BBQ, excited to try it out.

Looks like Calgary and Canmore locations for Canada, with Canmore already being open. Fuzz, you been there?

Wasn't there a terrible cheese-ball looking steakhouse that just opened there? I never expected them to survive, but that was fast

They have a location on Macleod just south of 58th. I wonder if they’re moving.

Thanks, that was it... Looks like they actually opened around April '22, so they were around longer than I thought.
