I guess it's hard to blame Huberdeau. If someone offered me $10.5Mx8 to play in the NHL, I'd take it too. The real blame should be on Tree for handing a career middle-6 guy a franchise player contract.

(I know he has the record for most assists in a season by a LW, but even that season he played on the second line... which... *does some math*... is one of the two lines that make up the middle six.)

Hes been terrible as a Flame, and has somehow been worse this season than last season. But he''s not going anywhere. No one is taking that contract and it's impossible to buy it out.

Also while he wasn't the solution tonight...he wasn't necessarily the problem either. He's not the reason they allowed 6 goals and was even on the night (1GF, 1 GA).

Andersson was a bit of a tire fire tonight IMO, on the ice for 5 goals against and didn't have a good game at all. But sure let's all blame Huberdeau.
Matty this is not the positivity thread. At this point he’s a ####ing abyss.

We just need the lockout to happen shortly. So we can get the ol compliance buyout. I’ll give up a season to get rid of him.

Huberdeau went quietly into the night in a game when they had a fighting chance to win but needed a little more offensive punch to put it away.

Mackinnon and Makar went beast mode while he turned into a wallflower.

Fun times.
Gotta wonder when and if Conny starts to pull the trigger before all value is lost.

We get it…you hate Huberdeau and think his salary should go to you.

Even though it’s late, you should go outside for awhile. After some fresh air, maybe you’ll be able to focus on something that matters.

Hubby for Johnny hockey 2.0 but no oilers please

I think it has been discussed and my guess is Huberdeau Is vetoing the the opportunity, but who knows it may be Murray Edwards or no desire of either side

I guess if we have one positive, we do get to witness how much lower the now worst contract in the entire NHL can go.

It could be a wild ride.

Oh come on, nothing wild about that. Sutter used to talk about it all the time, the guys stopped skating and started throwing pucks away go back and watch that 3rd period. Bad takes, come on, you can do better than that.

On a road trip where you have to play Minnesota, Colorado, and Las Vegas, why would you schedule Colorado as the first game?

NHL logic.

Would Edwards really eat this contract?

Even if the Flames had a compliance buyout, I'm not sure they would use it.

Calling him a career middle 6 guy is laughable.

He had the third most points in the NHL in the three seasons prior to becoming a Flame. He was an elite point producer and top line talent.

Now some combination of age curve, system, confidence, pressure, and effort has caused him to suck as a Flame but no need to make up #### that just wasn't true prior to him being a Flame.

How was my post positive? Huberdeau has been #### as a Flames, there is no way to sugar coat it.

But honeslty ragging on the same guy after ever single loss is stupid, he's not why they lost that game tonight.

Andersson was on the ice for 5 goals against, Hanifin wasn't much better. Whenever Tanev is hurt those two seem to forget how to play defense and another example tonight.

Huberdeau 0 pts, 0 shots, 0 penalties, 0 hits, even with 16:44 of ice time.

Guys just out there doing cardio.

Flames now 6th worst in the league when it comes to points percentage.

Chicago was 3rd worst last season...we're gettin' there!

If we draft 6th, we could end up with Berkly Catton! Good ol Sask boy!

I don't disagree that there were bad passes, but you blamed that on the coach, which is ridiculous.

It's not me that needs to do better here

Yeah Andersson was the worst player on the night

But Huberdeau’ got the blame because he was supposed to be our answer to McKinnon and company and he didn’t even provide a second of it
