That’s about as dirty of a hit as there can be. Thankfully Cousins didn’t hit Gudbranson from 3-4 feet from the boards or he might be paralyzed.

That's insanely dirty and there is no place in the game for it.

Yup zero issue with Gudbranson's response. Super dangerous and no idea why the Cousins match penalty got rescinded on replay.

Yeah I agree with Cali - that was pretty Bertuzzi like by Gudbranson. Collars the guy, who turtles, then jumps on his back and starts punching him in the back of the neck. Insane that anyone is actually ok with that

Nobody liked the hit, it looked like Cousins thought he was going shoulder to shoulder, and misread the timing. Went poorly and was penalized accordingly. For people calling it as dirty as can be, welcome to hockey. If you enjoyed your first game, you will love many more to come

Just saw the Cousins hit, that was brutal. Easy 5 and a game, you would think. Not sure what the refs were thinking there, no wonder things got out of control. Brutal job by the officiating crew.

They play again in April.

Doubt Cousins dresses for that game, that's the kind of stand up guy he is.

I don't like cousins at all, but it looks as if he was expecting Gudbranson to turn his upper body, and he didn't Still his fault, still a reckless play, but i don't really think it was intentionally dirty. But Cousins is a POS so who knows but him?
