Eh, a shove from behind and Andersson's stick is in Hischier's skate as he's starting to stop, I don't think it's a surprise he spins as a result of those forces...
Either way the argument from the ref remains, the Flames caused Hischier to contact Wolf. I agree that it didn't help that Coleman eventually shot the puck indirectly into his own net.

Will be interesting to see who’s benched in the third
I think Huberdeau, Dube and Ruzicka don’t see many shifts

Funny how in the playoffs against the Oilers, it didn’t matter that Coleman was propelled into the puck by the actions of the Oiler defender. Is it too much to ask for consistency in the application of the rules by the Command Centre? I mean, other than borderline calls always going against the Flames?

Everyone complaining about New Jersey not getting a penalty will switch to bashing the Flames PP if they call one and the Flames don't score. We know this.

Paying 10.5M a year for him to goon it up is not acceptable. That empty net he missed is not acceptable. Getting very hard to defend anything about this guy.

Just catching up, but why was the challenged goal allowed? Looked pretty obvious that the player impeded Wolf, no?

LOL. Aside from the big miss, Huberdeau was fine, and the fourth line is the fourth line. They aren’t getting time in a comeback attempt anyway.

S. Reinhart was drafted as a center, just saying.

Rewinding the various camera angles, Hischier was falling and his body was already beyond a 45 degree angle before he fell against Andersson’s stick. There was no trip.
Having said that, I suppose it was ambiguous enough to not overturn the call on the ice. Still doesn’t show any consistency from the Command Centre, as much more ambiguous calls are frequently overturned.
Hischier obviously figured he had been shoved and that gave him a free pass to crash into Wolf and see if he could profit from it.

Eh. He isn’t worth the contract and won’t ever be. I’m beyond getting caught up on it
