It's going to be crushing when he picks the Dodgers.

I hope the Jays are filming some type of behind the scenes special on this. Would be a good watch.

It'd be the funniest #### ever if he re-signed with the Angels after all of this. The baseball social media meltdown would be legendary.

I don't really get why he'd pick Toronto. This feels like Kawhi all over.
Rogers Centre will be elevated from the third worst stadium to middle third at best once the renovations are done (but still with turf), the city of Toronto itself is fine but not the best, the team is not going to be as good as the Dodgers, and then you have all the usual stuff that professional athletes complain about, like having to clear customs after every road trip.
Hope he picks the Jays, but feels too good to be true.

Apparently the Rogers centre has the best mound in the league, to the point where after pitching against us and winning, Ohtani went back out onto the field after the game to inspect the mound.
He's not in the outfield, so I don't think he cares much about the turf, but if the mound is great, that's a big plus for him.

Disagree on the city. Toronto is pretty great, and an international city. I'd put it up there with some of the best (Chicago, Boston, etc.).

Agreed, it gets lots of flak from Canadians, especially Ontarians, but as someone who has been to a lot of the big North American cities, Toronto is right up there.

Yeah, combined with Olney's article earlier this week scolding Ohtani's group for their silence, I can't imagine he's on the inside on this one.
Feels a bit like old man shaking his fist at the sky.

Great skyline, on the water, fantastic food and culture scene, close to major markets.
Chicago is the best comp for me.

Toronto IS a definite world class city. For two reasons specifically: safety and diversity. I don’t think there’s a comparable to any US city. That’s just me though.
