But oftentimes lanky goalies do well. Rask is 6'3" and 176 lbs. He has the third highest save percentage of all time. Behind Hasek (Wolf's height and also lanky), Dryden, and just ahead of Bishop (tall and lanky) and Tim Thomas (even shorter than Wolf). Even Saros, 5'11", is 10th all time in save percentage.
So he's basically the goalie Gaudreau, nice

Is Calgary close enough to home without being too close to home? Might as well get that out of the way first.

If I’m the Flames I’m using Markstrom’s injury as a vhance to figure out what vladar and wolf are. I’d give them a 50/50 rotation. If they both show the can win games at this point I would be openly marketing Markstrom. He’s playing well this year and his capspace would open a lot of options for the Flames to reshape the roster and sign any of the UFAs we might want to keep.

I would say at the start of the season the flames had a surplus on D and in the net. We need to turn that into some skilled wingers. Because that’s where they are extremely light.

This is pretty much the only way to know a dude is being honest - if he can easily round up to 6 feet, yet doesn't.

Must've been a perspective thing. Vernon has admitted he's closer to 5'7" than 5'9". Wolf is small, but is at least a few inches taller than Vernon. Probably in the 5'10" range.

Sure but he's more likely 5'11 5/8" and rounded up to 3/4".

Liar.

The Flames already have a good idea what Vladar is. You play the guy who is playing better and gives you the best chance to win.

If Wolf deserves the next start which he does tomorrow he should get it. But if he doesn't he shouldn't be handed it either. Despite what some people want to happen the team is still trying to win games.

They're going to be light at D and missing a #1 C by the end of this year. Those positions need looking at more than the wings.

Ya no kidding we don't even have space for all of our wingers with Pelletier and Coronato considered.

Zero interest spending a cent on wingers.

Just love the Edmonton fans tossing in the 3rd round pick at least once a month. The bitterness is hilarious.

^ with those in mind I would like Sharangovich to start getting draws. I think he would be a good stopgap as a center until we find a more permanent solution. Or he's Lindholm 2.0 and plays better at center.

Literally slept through all of second period and woke up to see them pop in all 3 goals! Man, every game this team wins, it feels great at the end of the game. This is almost like racking up payments with a credit card.

Wolf covers the net better than Markstrom, and twice as quick

Dustin Wolf is listed at 1.83m or 6ft tall. Yeah, he does look small in net but I think we're used to seeing all these huge goalies that Tre has gotten over the years.

So,

Dustin Wolf with a big ol W and looks awesome while doing it.

Zary scores the game tying goal.

Keep the youth movement going - it's already what's driving this team. Stay on target, trade the UFAs and find more youth.
