Well they aren't going down, only up, as the season moves forward.

Treliving will be back after he circles the league only to find that demands are similar or higher elsewhere.
Tanev was a Treliving guy. I suspect he wants him on the Leafs badly.

Flames do need a Powerplay specialist. But I dare say hold off and hope Kylington gets some time because that's the guy I whole heartedly belive is the answer.
If anything, the Flames would be targeting RFA type D men.
I get trying Barrie out to run the pp or give it some life but a real hard No Thanks to DeAngelo.

DeAngelo sounds like an Oilers target.

Sounds like other organizations were listening to Conroy speaking after the Zadorov trade, when he stated that he is willing to take a bad deal for a sweetener. I guess this is why these two teams are the ones calling.

I'd take Barrie with an incentive like a Monahan-lite trade.
Or if they're willing to exchange him for a less desirable Flames contract.
Otherwise wouldn't be too interested.
If they want a less embarrassing PP it starts with coaching.

I think they just saw how poorly he’s done with his two trades before and are trying to take advantage.
Sorry if it ruffles feathers, but he traded his leading scorer for a team’s healthy scratch and a third, then had 6 teams interested in a player and traded him for a return that was lower than anyone had predicted. Everyone in Vancouver was doing cartwheels after that trade.
It’s no surprise other GM’s are calling him. He’s shown that he will fold to GM’s

Tanev isn’t the player he was two seasons ago. Walker has been really good for the Flyers this season, averaging more than 22 minutes a game with a 58 percent expected goals rate at five-on-five. He’s four years younger than Tanev and has lower cap hit. Wouldn’t surprise me if he got more at the deadline than Tanev.

I’d practically give Dube away right now.

DeAngelo to the Edmon-sucks? Seems like a perfect moral and ethical fit for them.

What's Dubes value right now? Can't be that high.
I know his value to the organization and the community, but performance ?

If we are selling well before the deadline and Barrie is available for pennies on the dollar, I would do it. He is on an expiring deal and given the void that would be left on the Flames defense and the powerplay minutes he would certainly get, he could pad his stats and give us another deadline trade asset. If that didn't work, at least there is no long term commitment.
I guess you could say the same about DeAngelo, but he's a jerk.

For the Oilers, crafting a solid ESG policy is defined as can they find players to help score even strength goals.

From what I hear, Broberg is absolutely terrible - like Nail Yakipov bad! Oilers need to pony up more to get rid of him.

I just don’t get this. From Lebrun’s article on the athletic
“The Flyers like Walker, but unless they can sign him to an extension, they have to listen to trade offers. The asking price on Walker would be a first-round pick, whereas it’s likely a second-rounder might eventually get it done on Tanev”

That's some pretty negative spin you have there.
Not sure if it even warrants a feather ruffling!
