I feel bad for people who don't dance. I LOVE dancing, but only when the music doesn't suck. Dancing to a bad song is like watching the Oilers play.,

I also feel pity and disgust for people who have different interests and hobbies as me.

I seriously don't know a single person who watches NFL just for the game and doesn't gamble on it in some way. Not one.

I always hit "block" and "report spam" in Gmail. If enough people do that Gmail will block their emails (or move to the "promotions" tab) which makes a meaningful difference in the amount of money they make from email marketing. It's a way to make that "#### you" tangible.

Maybe, but I get emails I know I didn’t sign up for. Lately I’ve been getting a woman’s appointment reminders from a Cancer hospital in Tennessee. Her name is similar to mine so either her or the hospital ####ed up when entering the address.

I must have a relative with the same last name in Australia because I get some girls emails all the time. Hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, grocery orders etc. My email has my middle initial which added to my first name makes it close or equal to her name.

This morning I got a marketing email from a women’s skincare store in Vancouver. That, I have no idea how I got on that. Unsubscribe!

I get emails for 3 different people with the same name as me. One lives in Vancouver and I get emails about sports clubs he is involved in. One lives in Halifax and I get emails related to his business, including for a while I was getting all his CRA tax notifications (and it wasn't easy to fix that), and the third is in South Africa and I get emails about his vacation bookings and insurance. At least one of them has an email address that is the same as mine but with an underscore at the end which a lot of people miss.

Me too. One of them begged me to sell him the address (mine is the simplest version of our name)

The thought has crossed my mind. But terms of conditions shouldn't automatically subscribe you to something, I bought some candeliers from home hardware and now they're spamming with a bunch of crap. As an example.

I had the hotmail account fotze@hotmail.com because the german exchange student i was buddies with told me that was the worst word in german, and it was accepted at NTN Trivia (who remembers that?)

Holy moly the emails from random german degenerates was something else. I would forward them to him to translate and we had many laughs. One guy detailed how he wanted to drill a hole in my skull and have sex with it, with photos that looked like he had done this before. This was probably 15-20 years ago.

The email got hacked and some point and I lost it.

Under the Canadian anti-spam legislation, if you've bought something from a company within the last 2 years you are considered to have given implied consent to receive emails.

In any presentation I've ever sat through or gave with numbers involved, there is always one person/manager/VP whose sole contribution is to make sure that the percentages add up to 100%.

"Uh, sorry to interrupt there Dave"

"No, as I said in my opening remarks that you can interrupt at any time"

"Uh, your numbers in that table on your previous slide add up to 101%" I'M THE SMARTEST GUY IN THE ROOM!
