One of the goals he let in Kadri literally took him out...

One an impossible play, one he was sabotaged on by one of his own.
Wolf did a fine job coming in relief of Vladar.
Give him more starts.

They lost this game for 3 reasons:
1) Giveaways - blatant, fugly, relentless giveaways
2) One on one battles - they got outworked and out-hustled, all over the ice
3) Passing - they can't complete a pass to save their lives.
And because of those 3 things happening over and over, they never had the puck - Minny had it all night long.
Just a disgusting game. I hope the flu is at least partially to blame.

He's a ####ing rookie coming into a game the Flames had phoned in (except for a couple brief stints).
How do you think any talented goalie becomes an eventual starter in the NHL, that they enter the league with a .930 right off the bat and that's all she wrote?

Duehr is giving Jooris vibes and its kinda sad. Was a huge fan of what he brought last year. On some nights he was our best player near the end of the season.
Also given how thin our blue line is going to be after we move out Hanifin and Tanev out I would entertain a deal that involves Dube and Broberg. Especially since we'll be able to add Pelletier and Coronato shortly.

A lot of them actually do.
Goaltender is the one position where you can’t hide. We’ll find out soon what he really is. There are a few tough games coming up. Hopefully they don’t shelter him.

I just don't think the body of work is anywhere near adequate enough to form any sort of impression yet, especially given how the Flames showed in either game.
The Wild also let off quite a bit once they'd built their lead, so Wolf saw less shot volume than he would've had he started the game to buffer that %. They created an impossible to stop play on the PP then eased up on the shot volume for the most part. That doesn't help any goalie's numbers.
The fact that some people are entertaining the argument is pretty goofy to me. Wolf has earned his accolades at every level, the kid is as legit as they get. Yeah we'll find out what he really is, but it won't be in 2.67 games behind some putrid team efforts.

I bet it’ll be this season though. One of markstrom or vladar are probably leaving. So he’s going to have more than 2.67 games at the end of the season.

Well Markstrom is out now for potentially a couple weeks, so Wolf will get his looks.
Frankly, I hope more games are given to Wolf than Vladar in this stretch. If that happens that's a good sign though, as it means he's shown well enough to take starts from the more experienced goalie.

I hope your kidding! One was a deflection he almost had and the other Kadri accidently took him out.

Wolf was fine.
Good to see solovyov get reps.
Growing pains but we are on course to bottom out. Getting to a rebuild is gruelling business, especially if you don’t come out of it.
We are in for some bad hockey but I’m here for it. Last year was pathetic. I’m happy that mtl will take floridas pick this year and we may salvage that monohan trade yet.
Id resign Tanev but he would fetch a handsome return. He’d be a good locker room guy to mentor all the kids coming up over the next couple years. Get rid of hanifin. Get rid of lindy. Let’s embrace the suck finally. The top four this year are all tantalizing. I’m really sold on Celebrini and Lindstrom. Two dynamic centermen would really help this sad sack of a team.
Retain on kadri. See him for what you can get. At 5 million he’s got some value. At 3.5 he’s got more.
And I don’t think it’s savards fault. This group is so snakebit offensively. They have very little potency.
Sally forth with the tank commanding.

To be fair , Zary was a 1st rounder. He is supposed to be better than them
But yeah, Dube and Mangiapane are contributing very little now

This is expected when you start trading the regular players
This team is not good enough or deep enough
You can’t have it both way.
Conroy needs to trade them all and tank for a rebuild
Or add and compete not subtract

Vladar had-1.35 goals saved above expected, which is terrible.
Wolf had-0.39 goals saved above expected, which is unremarkable.
Both had poor save percentages. Both had poor nights. Vladar's was especially bad.

Wolf didn’t have a bad night. That’s the point.
