I had a thought in the back of my mind that this could be a reason why Conroy was willing to make the Zadorov trade now, but I thought it was just wishful thinking.
Great to see. I hope everything is O.K.

I had the exact same thought. Glad to see it happen!
Doing the Zadorov trade now with no salary coming back totally makes sense now. The Flames can add Kylington and Coronato and still have room to add Pelletier when he has recovered.
Maybe getting ahead of things a bit, but Zadorov for a 3rd, 5th and Kylington is a pretty good trade.
If I'm not mistaken, this is the final year of his contract too... so he pretty much needs to get in the lineup if he doesn;t want to have to sign for league minimum somewhere. (Although there are many more important things than money!)

How dare you look at these moves holistically like the team is, and not just individually under a microscope!!
If Kylington comes back it sure makes the Zadorov trade make more sense. Kylington's speed and puck movement would gel really nicely with the way the Flames are playing lately, really hoping he's feeling good enough to return! Great update!
Wow that's absolutely huge, just the fact that he is still trying to come back is so good to see. As others have mentioned Zadorov trade makes even more sense now, I do not think Kylington could have came back without some trade to free up cap space right?
