looks like November is the month of choice.
I am requesting a group quote from all my suppliers.
will advise within 2 business days what we are looking at for price.
I am picking the Stratosphere because a) its one of the more reasonably priced hotels and its the place I always stay at. i might be able to get us som comps from my casino host. b) its located at the north end of the strip and also close to Freemont.

I'd probably be interested. From Edmonton for me....or even Grande Prairie if that's possible.

Any particular reason you picked those weekends? Just for the long weekends? Wouldn't it be cheaper to do it on a non-long weekend weekend and just take a day off work if people could swing that?

I was thinking more for things like tickets to shows and whatnot being cheaper during lower demand times.

you will find the demand during off times is better but prices are still the same. so you would have a better chance at getting tickets.
on a side note, there's shows in Las Vegas????

YES! And I'm one of them! It's a good thing that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...

FWIW- any of us that work in downtown Calgary in the O&G business, a lot of us have both those Fridays off. Works well for some of us anyways.

Shows? Oh, right. The excuse you give of what you did in Vegas when you don't want to say exactly what happened down there. Gotcha.

just a quick update.
looks like the long weekends are going to be a tough find to get a large group together.
it can be done at this point but space is very limited. If we were to go with the November long weekend. we would need to book it very VERY soon.
another weekend might be a better alternative, just so we can get the space for all those that want to go.
which route should we go?
I will leave it to the majority to decide and then I get go ahead and get us a group quote.
