They've already waited in line for their turn to receive service. I think it's that simple.

In a line, your role is to be efficient to keep the line moving quickly. When it's your turn you should be ready to handle your part of the interaction so as not to unnecessarily slow things down. You can still say hi/bye and please/thank you, of course. Plus you can chat if there's time available while things are being scanned and you aren't adding to the wait of the people behind you. Proudly proclaiming you "aren't in a hurry" is absolutely disrespectful if you're slowing the line down and making people wait on you to enjoy your interaction with the cashier.

You have this completely backwards. Making people wait for you to have a nice little human interaction at your own pace is forcing others to cater to how you want time to be spent. Moving along efficiently is selfless and putting the time of others over the "joy" (?) you get from chit chatting to the young lady who would honestly rather you just GTFO so she can get back to texting her bff about the annoying old guys that keep trying to chat her up.
All I'm saying is while I personally agree with your view on line-ups and when I'm at the front I try to be as efficient as possible to keep things moving, that's not the only viewpoint that exists. Other people have different priorities, so if they wait in line and get their turn, they should be able to interact in a way that serves them best. You arrived to the line-up after them, so they get priority while you wait.

So, is it true that KDs dropped the packages from 225g to 200g?

Are they still claiming each box is enough to serve 4 people?

To be fair those After Eight boxes were insanely large. They were basically just designed for grandmothers to have an unending supply of slightly off beat treats for when the grandkids come over.

Are there any websites that have kept track of which products have reduced the product or raised the price?

Kinda tough to notice because they're so sneaky about it. Everytime I reach for something I swear it's different packaging and I can rarely remember the price I used to pay.

.
Everything. Everything is either smaller or more expensive. I'm not ready to pay $3 for a chocolate bar that's 25% smaller.

If they are cheap and only hire one or two people to stand around in the self checkouts, they are going to have a bunch of them off.
You have to show your receipt when you exit at certain grocery stores in Seattle.

Can't imagine it will be long before Superstore does the same thing.

They are already doing that at the downtown one at least and at Loblaws in the east.

I agree. it's pretty well everything.
Bought a taco kit recently and my wife and I were looking at these tiny taco shells, with WTF expressions.

It was bad enough when companies either raised the price or shrunk the product. It sucks even more that they now do both at the same time.

The small taco shells sucks. You used to be able to buy the super tacos. Now they've made the normal ones so small.

Costco has been doing this for decades. I'm surprised it wasn't already a thing at most big box stores.

I think one of them is on a plane beside Surferguy. She might be wearing all $3k worth at once.

A Rexall near my place would be so easy to rip off.
half the time I go in there, they don't have anyone up front.
no one at the till, no one watching the door.

cut me in for 10% and I'll tell you the location. one person could easily and accurately make out like a bandit.
