I don’t hate Texas I just don’t think they are that good and have no shot.
Nobody likely has a shot against Georgia but at least with Washington with their QB/WRs and Oregon have shot if they play their A++ games. Even OSU with their defense and Harrison maybe, but there is no way Texas does anything.
Mainly it sucks that Bama and OSU don’t have QBs as they are the only teams that can likely match Georgia.

Well again most of us thought TCU and Ohio State had no shot either last year. As long as the playoff is four teams we actually need, you know, four teams. And with four of the power 5 conference champions with one loss or fewer, it basically writes itself.

TCU did have no shot as shown in the Championship game.
OSU with Stroud always had a shot because of the talent OSU brings in and Stroud being elite. Put him innOSU this year they are likely the favourites or at least within 3 of Georgia.

You obviously know I mean most people gave them no shot against Michigan, but there's no point in complaining about "weak" teams getting in, it happens every year in every sport. Sure Texas probably lose badly to Georgia, but only way to know is to find out cause they won't just arbitrarily decide to cut out two playoff teams so we get Georgia-Michigan.

There goes another Florida state QB. His eyes were in the back of his head.

In a way it's too bad Oregon didn't win the first game against Washington because they do appear to be the better team right now (currently a heavy 8.5 favorite). But if they win the Pac 12 Championship I don't think they'll get a top 4 spot as a 1 loss team and the Husky's likely fall down to 8 or so depending on the margin.
Michigan will be in as the win over Iowa will merely be a formality. Georgia should handle Bama and claim a spot. If Florida State beats Louisville than I think they're in because the computer can't really project their future with their current QB situation.
So if the Dawgs lose than I think Ohio State likely gets in as a one loss team over Oregon.
It would likely be better games if both Oregon and OSU get in after Georgia and Michigan.

There is no scenario where a power five champion losses out to a non-champion if the records are the same. The Pac 12 title game is a play in, winner is in. Ohio State's only path in would be if Texas and Florida State lose. Probably need Alabama to lose too because I would think one loss non-conference champ Georgia would have a better case than Ohio State.

Oregon wins and they are in. They will be the top 1 loss team right now only 1 loss team that could beat them out is Georgia and no chance Georgia is losing to Alabama anyways.
I think even if the worst case scenario for Oregon happens, Bama wins, FSU win, Michigan wins if they want both Bama and Georgia in they still put Oregon in over FSU even undefeated.

That would be criminal to exclude FSU if they are undefeated, no undefeated team has ever been left out of the playoffs. And in this scenario Texas could draw in due to their win over Alabama.

I think the discussion would be between Georgia, Alabama and FSU, not Oregon.
And honestly it should be Alabama left out if they are taking the 4 best teams.
If Oregon wins the Pac 12 which has been the best conference this season and that isn't good enough to get in that is brutal.
But really none of this matters because Georgia is beating Alabama by double digits anyways.

.
This year looks pretty straight forward though. If FSU. loses to Louisville (not a big upset really) then Ohio St. will get in over 1 loss Oregon or Washington. $$ says so.
Otherwise the top 4 are set...IMO only.

If money mattered Alabama would have got in over TCU last year. Ohio State will not get in over the Pac 12 champion. Ohio State needs Texas, Florida State and Alabama to lose in order to get in, that is their only path. Then it would be Georgia, Michigan, Pac 12 champ, Ohio State.

SEC championship will decide if Georgia or Bama get in. Unless there is no SEC school included? i'll guess...
Michigan
Washington
FSU
Alabama

There was that definite possibility of Bama would have lost (damn you Alabama) but slim chance now. FSU, Washington and Texas all winning this week would make things interesting. Alabama would also have to beat Georgia. Oregon with an outside shot if they win but they likely need some dominoes to fall for them to slide in.

Bobby Petrino back at Arkansas; as offensive coordinator; Sam Pittman on the hot seat. The writing is on the wall.
Downright hilarious.

Oregon certainly might win this game, but that they closed as nearly a 10 point favourite is crazy. Awful start obviously.

All the smarts suggesting Oregon was the better team so I love seeing the records actually meaning something. I hope the Huskies close this out.
IMO these teams still a notch below the real powers and would have a couple of losses playing in the SEC.

Full credit to Washington, they are dominating the trenches right now. Oregon desperately needs any score on this drive, with the double possession they could get back into it quick.
