This makes me so, so happy.

The emergence of the Great Sakuya, blessed/baptized with the re-emergence of Muta's legendary (and frightening) original mask, is absolute canon in the Muta story arc. It is only a matter of time that Muta's poison mist will be passed down to Sakuya as well, and once complete, a new generation of victims will be beholden to the shadows that pervade the world of joshi puroresu, and ultimately, the wrestling world. This darkness, in time, will make it's inevitable arrival on the shores of America - and when it does, fear will reign. Women's wrestling has been warned.

That was a pretty weak promo.

Gotta take wrestling promos at face value but he is way far from being "best in the world"

Promo it self fairly cookie cutter. Don't hate it. Don't love it. He got the pops. Played the old hits.

But there was something surreal about it. I just never thought I'd see it again.

Yeah, I guess I was expecting more from Raw tonight, I don't usually watch or fast forward through a lot of it now. But I was expecting epic, and I got safe french toast without fruit if you know what I mean.

The return of Randy was awesome and having him at the start jacked the crowd up. And his promo was great. Bonus points for him doing an autograph signing on the way to the ring. Things ground to a halt when Rhea came out. You almost got a sense that she was a bit overwhelmed to be in the ring doing a promo with Randy because she's usually a lot more animated and a lot smoother.

The we got the contenders match for the tag belts, and I started fast forwarding, these type of matches with 8 million competitors doing an elimination match are always chaotic and rarely well executed. The Creed brothers won.

Then we get a Cody rhodes segment and his promo was decent, but not flashy and he showed real emotion about taking part in a war games match or as he called it his Dad's match. Then Nakamura who is great came out and gave him the old red mist to the eyes. I wish that companies would only have one mist blower. When you have two Japanese wrestlers blowing mist it feels kinda like stereotyping.

Then we got Ivar versus Bronson Reed and I fast forwarded the crap out of that one.

Then we got Nia Jax versus Zoey Stark, and for god only knows they put Nia over less then 48 hours after Stark fought in a world title match on a major PPV. And Nia still sucks.

Then we had a Gunther vs Miz backstage segment that really didn't go anywhere, followed by an in ring segment with Seth, Drew and Jey which was flat. And maybe it was flat because people were waiting for CM Punk. The head butt on Seth looked awesome and it did split Drew open though.

Then we get Green and Niven defending their belts against Nattie and Teagan Nox (Who I love and respect). But this was just a sluggish poorly paced match without a lot of emotion to it.

Then we got Dom vs Randy, and it was a good little match, with Randy pretty much kicking the crap out of Judgement day, but there was no other way to go. I did notice that they're not clearing the monitors from the Spanish Annoucers table anymore which was interesting. Maybe LCD's don't hurt.

Then we got the Punk segment, what everyone was waiting for . I thought it was a decent promo, and Punk is very smooth and he seems to be able to control an audience. I didn't expect him to take shots at AEW but I think he did two. One with his little victory lap around the ring at the end which mocks the Bucks who did a similar thing when he left, and one is the line "I'm not here to make friends,I'm here to make money".

I almost thought there was a hinted heel turn when he said that everyone was happy to see him, then corrected himself and said almost everyone. So I'm sure we're heading to a Punk Rollins matchup sooner rather then later.

Like I said I was really excited to watch this Raw but ended up fast forwarding two out of the three hours in total lenght.

Oh and in other news QT Marshall has resigned as the VP of talent relations for AEW and left the company.

The one interesting thing in him social media post was when he said " the company has changed a lot since 2019 and is heading in a different direction and I feel that it’s best I do the same"

QT was getting outperformed by Jacobs, Dutt and Buck in the back. His role changed to simply being a producer. This is just someone who doesn't like his spot and decided to look elsewhere. There's nothing epic here.

Also looks like Jade got sent to the Performance Center for more training. HHH realized she's still green in the ring and needs more time.

I get Bill Goldberg vibes from her lol

It's maybe not "epic" but it is always interesting when a guy who was VP of talent relations decides to move on and states it's because things have changed.

That's not necessarily a bad thing either. Maybe Tony will get some guys with a bit more pull and experience to do that job.

And from an on screen perspective losing QT Marshall is probably a good thing. I remember when he completely made Wardlow look stupid (and Hobbs too) during their fued and thinking he just ruined the entire fued.

I don't think there is spicy drama here. Cody Rhodes was an EVP and he left. Stephanie MacMahon was an executive when she left. Does QR really spark that kind fever? Not really. He's an AEW original but that really doesn't mean much at the end of the day.

Jimmy Jacobs basically took his spot. Pretty sure that's what QT I referring to here.

I'll be very honest, judging by HHH's comments, I think WWE didn't realize just how little work AEW had put into her before elevating her to being their top woman star. I think the Goldberg comparison is very apt, but for her and WWE's sake I hope that she takes to the training and gets the polish she needs.

QT Marshall is interesting, more so for seeing knives come out for him from fans. AEW's core fans are just absolutely ruthless and say some vile #### when the product is besmirched in anyway. They're almost cultish. Wrestling tribalism is wild.

Meh. I don't think it's just an AEW thing. Edge and Sasha both caught a lot of #### from E stans on twitter when they left.

Agreed on the tribalism stuff.

Edge caught a lot of bitter ex #### on the way out. The stuff being written about Marshall by some of these people is wild. You'd think he betrayed king and country.

Sasha kind of deserved it for how she left.

I have more respect for people who just let their contract run out and leave than just walk out and go home until they get their release or their contract runs out.

QT apparently wanted to be a wrestling 'star' and not just a high-up, backstage role.

Ok, QT.

Yeah, I don't believe employees are obligated to finish their contracts when they no longer approve of their working conditions. "F you, I quit" is a perfectly valid thing to do.

Sasha had the rug pulled out from under her twice. She was choked. She took her ball and went home.

I have no issue with her quitting. I do think you drop the belts first though. Some of the #### said about her at the time was awful though. Insecure men are always worse towards women

Exactly, and atleast Toni Storm finished her match that night before she walked out.

Sure. Still not a good enough reason to go on twitter and tell her you hope she gets raped.
