Quietly up near the top of the list in points so far this season. Backbone in lots of ways for Canucks start to the season.
Canucks suck dude, they beat up on ####ty teams early...reality is setting in now though. Their hot start might net them a first round exit because they aren't beating LA or Vegas in a playoff series. Same team but more expensive next season so some guys will have to go

and now they are losing to SJ

they aren't that good, are you putting it on record that you think they can compete in a playoff series with Vegas or LA? because we can revisit as the season progresses.

This Canuck teams looks exactly like the Turek led Flames team from 20 years ago.

So no playoffs.

Gotta hand it to him and the canucks, it was a good 16 games.

So what are they now?

Probably a bubble play-off team, which is what they were. Thankfully this start has given them an great cushion for getting there. .500 Hockey, which is where you'd expect them to be, gets them in.

Yes, I am happy with the start, because it likely keeps them ahead of Edmonton all year.

No, because you thought they weren't a play-off team and the Flames would be ahead of them. Neither of these are going to be the case. Silly sausage.

No, i haven't really been bullish on the Flames this season. No such prediction about the standings. But I fully expect the Flames to take the bulk of the head to heads because V=NG.

Vancouver was always a bubble group in my mind. The early "contender" chatter and canuck people talking down their noses @ other teams like they were in another league based on 1/6 of a season was hilarious though. Made for great entertainment.

By the same logic most teams in the league have enjoyed being a contender every other year for a couple months as most teams have a similar stretch of 15 or so games not all that infrequently, Vancouver's just happened to be at the start of the season.

..Which ultimately means nothing, the homer pundits just got ahead of themselves and thought that would go on indefinitely. They should probably know better, and save the "contender" label for a much larger sample size.

Hmm... until things have happened they haven't.

Funny how the outcome you state will not be the case might be a result of your signature.

Thank You Mr. Demko.

Namely if he gets injured. But please keep on being cocky that the Canucks are finally competitive. WOOT WOOT!!

Flexing over being destined for a first round exit isn't doing much there.

We've been in that boat for decades. Welcome to hell.

Bad teams beat good teams all the time though. The Canucks benefited from a weaker schedule to start the season and have come back down to earth. The team has still been better than expected with Hronek in particular. Miller has played very well and Pettersson seems to be battling a bit of an injury during this slide.

Vegas is coming off a cup. Vancouver hardly remembers what post-season hockey feels like.

"Good" isn't defined by a hot month in the regular season. Good teams win divisions, conferences and cups.

If the Canucks ever do that, then they've earn the "off-night" excuse. They don't have any of that on their resume, so for them it's seen as falling back to earth.

For all the trash talking of the Canucks, they’ve done okay a quarter way in to the season.
I have no projections as the season carries on, they may not even make the playoffs. Who knows, and personally I don’t really care. I enjoy seeing exciting hockey. Would love to see a Canucks/Flames playoff series again.
More interested in good hockey than mockery.
