Yes, they are outside the union so some sort of exception to minimum contracts.

Holy crap! I wasn’t able to watch tonight, and I certainly wasn’t expecting this result. Awesome.
Another great thing about this is that Vegas will be pissed off for their game against the Oilers. I imagine we might see a jersey toss in that one.
