Wouldn't be the first or last player that has the skills to be a top 9 NHL forward but just can't put the required effort I'm to make it happen.
There's a grave yard hundreds of players deep, like that.

He can have the occasional good game, but he takes too many shifts off - never been a fan. I am hoping it's him that Pelletier replaces when he's ready.

Ruz reminds me of the Oilers issues with Jesse Puljujarvi who never put it together and looked lifeless and unmotivated on the ice despite being put with McDavid many times...except Puljujarvi was drafted 4th overall LOL
