Bennett pulled the puck over the line, so the puck was in the zone before Tkachuk cleared, but before Bennett touched it again on the next touch of the stickhandle, Tkachuk had tagged up

And Bennett feet were still on the blue as well, so he was not offside.. but it was the puck being untouched by Bennett until MT tagged up that let it be onside

Boy, oh boy. CBJ wins big against Boston, getting 5 goals and Johnny finishes with 0 points and a -1. What a huge mistake that man made. It really isn't a stretch to say that he would have been one of the greatest Flames in their history if he stayed, but now, who knows what his legacy will be. Such a shame!
