Played well, couldn’t generate any tap ins, and lost the goalie battle.

Is Zary injured or was he benched towards the end of the game?

Vladar needed to be better in the second but they needed to be better offensively the first two periods. They really didn't challenge Colorado's goalie until the third.

We kept up with one of the top teams in the league. Not happy about Vladar’s early performance, but of course shut the door when it mattered most. Would love to see the stats on his saves separated by period and GA for this season.
Unlucky bounces, posts, everything. That PP is atrocious and needs to be fixed.

Good back to back against two top teams, didn't expect a sweep. Not scared on anyone.

Well going by the odds in the game day thread, since we didn’t lose in OT our odds of winning the Stanley cup actually just went up with that loss

If you think the Flames are tanking you haven't been watching lately

Vladar made some great saves, but let in one that should have been easily saved. Not going to win a lot of games with only 1 goal though.
I thought they played pretty well though, considering it was the second game in back-to-backs on the road, with pretty big travel in between.

Flames not giving up this last two weeks is encouraging. All lines putting in the work no matter the score and unlucky not to have gotten a couple more goals off crossbars.
The last 3 losses they were the better team or at least equal.
Tonight was horrid goaltending on two goals. Johansen who is on his backhand and no threat to score on the wing, yet Vladar sells the farm on that move and then can't get across for a wrap around. It's been a number of years since seeing a goalie beaten clean on a wrap around.
And then a floater shot from near the blue line and Vladar is already on his knees...down too early and too low and goes over him..a 6'5 goalie. Difference in the game, considering how well the Flames were buzzing that point in the second and third.

The players never tank.
The organization should still be shifting gears and rebuild.
Why? Because they’re in the mushy middle. They’re a mediocre team *at best*.
8-10-3.
If they don’t sell their free agents, then they’ll never be more than what they are now.
