Holloway has 10 pts in 65 career games, 10 picks before Zary and Flames traded down twice. Hilarious

We really got to get the other long term farmhands up for a stint. Sure seems like farm development has been strong and we need to see what we have. There are some gems so far.

Pelletier was actually the much better player in the AHL than Zary... just saying.

But what if we just signed a bunch of 28-34 year old journeymen 11-13th forwards instead?

Who were the players we ultimately ended up getting with the picks obtained by trading down for Zary?

Ah yes. Very tempting.
Is Jeff Friesen still available? That would change a lot of things.

The Capitals drafted Hendrix Lapierre with the second pick the Flames traded. He has 4 points in 12 NHL games played.

Had to leave when it was 4-2 Dallas. What a pleasant outcome to come home too!
I need to re watch the final period, but zad struggled early. Did he rebound?

Same as with Pospisil. 6-1-2 with both of them in the lineup.
8-5-2 with Andersson.

I actually thought there was some excellent coaching on his behalf when it was 6-4 in the third. He kept rolling the lines in short shifts. It was dangerous in the third at this point. Dallas literally looked dangerous in the first 2 and the last period gassed and in awe of the flames continued pressure.
I will say Markstrom's play was nothing short of outstanding. Crazy good.

Hopefully everyone can start getting over losing Toffoli for Sharangovich and a 3rd.

4th line did exactly what an energy line is supposed to do tonight.
On Sharangovich - considering ice time, power play usage and moving around the lineup, his 10 points compares nicely to Toffoli’s 16.

Another game I could only watch the first half live, so a really pleasant surprise to see the final score.
Just caught up now and that third period was something else. Markstrom with several huge saves too after being shat on here again for some of the goals against early.
Really love how much of an impact Zary and Pospisil are having on this team.

What an absolute snoozer of a game.
I mean literally. As in, I fell asleep when it was 2-1 Dallas. As we know, nothing ever happens after the Stars lock down a lead, especially with the goaltending they have.
Now I wake up and find that, for some bizarre reason, the league awarded the Flames two points anyway. Anything to keep us from winning last place and drafting high for a change, I suppose.
Bettman really is out to get us!

Zary still finding the scoresheet was awesome. What a pass!
Sharangovich appears to he heating up. Going to the middle of the ice pays off. Good to see them finding open ice in dangerous areas and making no mistake.
That's how you generate offense.

I was reserving judgment on the trade because I knew it would take time for sharangovich to find his place in this line up. He was kind of the odd man earlier on so it was going to require patience. Not the same as Tyler going over and slotting next to world class talent. He was going to have it easier on day one. But slowly the scales are balancing.
Maybe we've finally found the right combo to play with Lindholm. Wouldn't have suspected those three to work.
