Nah, I'm going to let it ride, but thank you.

It's like when I close a program and it says, 'do you want to save your changes?' and I'm thinking, 'I don't recall making any changes, but if I did I bet they were awesome, so yeah I'll save.'

Perhaps one of the best scenes ever to be filmed.

Not sure if serious, but if you haven't, you must watch Silicon Valley... Like, now.

Possibly my favourite comedy ever, though that might be influenced by the fact I was involved in a tech startup while the show aired... Ridiculously close to the subject matter.

The early Jian-Yang and Erlich interactions were so good.

If we want to turn this into a Silicon Valley praise fest for a page or two I'm here for it.

Probably the best comedy in the past decade? Just a hilarious show overall and some classic lines!

I really liked Silicon Valley, but does anybody else think it is less quotable and re-watchable than a lot of other great shows?

There is quite a difference between Canadian and US Thanksgiving. Busiest travel day of the year, I don't think there is an occasion that gets families together more than Thanksgiving in the US.

It just seems like a far bigger deal to American families than it does in Canada where it is just kind of another day off where you eat turkey. Even the meal itself is far more involved in the US. It was one of the bigger surprises when I moved down here and married into an American family.

Plus everyone gets at least a four day weekend and colleges etc. mostly get the week off.

Yeah, I dunno. I feel like having a major celebration per month for the last 3 months of the year is a good way to gear down and wrap up a year.

I understand and appreciate the fact Canadian thanksgiving is in October so our celebration is more the recognition of Demeter the goddess of harvest vs basically Ullr, the god of winter activities... but if our Novembers weren't typically so cold and white, I feel like a November Thanksgiving would be nicer than October. But in its current form, it's nice to have earlier, but it feels kinda muted and meh vs the American version for sure.

If anything, maybe Canada should set Thanksgiving to be combined with Halloween and give that combined festivus a chance to be a bigger bash and celebration and recovery day than it currently is.

Yeah American Thanksgiving seems like it's almost as big as Christmas down there. No way is it like that up here.

So many U.S. based people in my TL on the socials publicly giving thanks to random things, I can tell it's part of the custom there. We definitely don't do that here. Weird how it's a much larger holiday in the U.S. than Canada.
