On a side note, our ball tournament in Lyalta this weekend went over extremely well, and the system I picked up absolutely ROCKED!! We had it going outside all weekend. To anyone within five miles east of Lyalta, sorry about Saturday night! We really cranked it up.

Ended up playing another CPer in the finals. Sled's team (a bunch of youngun's that run like the wind, hit like a hammer, and can whip the ball around with ease) are our numero uno rival. Seems we quite frequently meet in the finals of whatever tournament we play. THIS year, our older, ibuprofen swallowing, back pad wrapping, knee brace wearing team got the better of them 19-17 in a wild final.

Your lucky I was only on deck and not up with two in scoring position. I think a was batting around .900 for the tournament (which is rare for me these days.) Not counting when you walked me for my double. LOL

I was pissed that I didn't get that last crack. Oh well, as always it was a hard fought game and never fails to be a nail biter.

The music was awesome in the background all and all a great tournament.

No shyte!!! It was get the out we did, our we were screwed. You were hammering my pitches! Well done bud, well done indeed.

And just as an FYI to all who are reading, next year we are going to be looking to expand the league back up to 16 teams. If there are any CPers who want to join a FUN league that can play the game, PM me. It would be awesome to get a couple teams out of here.

I guarantee, for slopitch, we run the best value/most fun league in Calgary. The league is at least 25 years old now. Heck, I have been our captain for 13 years, and this is my third as league prez. Let's get some CP teams going!!!
