We must be back in the Brent Sutter era. "The Flames lead the league in guys on pace for 15 goals"

Just jumping in to say that Locke was calling for huberdeau's benching tonight in favour of Ruzicka, after 3 points in the last two games. Now we're at 5 points in 3 games.

They traded him because he was UFA at the end of this season and wanted a retirement contract.

Are you saying they should have given Toffoli that contract? Or are you saying they should have walked him to free agency and lost him for nothing?

Caught the full highlights, looks like Vladar had a couple real stinkers but was also the reason it was even close going into the third. Just some brutal defending overall. Need to polish that up.

That ATL from Oiler fans has to be the most annoyed, frusterating, worried and salty i've ever seen. It is beautiful.

This season, despite being under .500 still has been so enjoyable for me due to the combination of the Oilers being horrible and the two Flame "anchor" contracts starting to put consistent quality efforts together.

There are so many problems with this roster but I'm so over McDavid and his miserable "who cares if I scored" look even after scoring. He scores that first goal and he can't even raise his arms a bit. Not even a smile. The the high fives to the team and I don't think he could of done that in a more depressing way if he tried. He clearly didn't even look at his team mates, its uncomfortable to even watch at this point how bad his body language is. I can't imagine being a teammate of McDavid is easy right now, and that's a big problem if your the captain.
This can't be tier 1 Oilers fans.

Neither? Don't give stupid retirement contracts out, don't walk your trade chips to free agency, and don't trade them for junk just because you can. Hated that trade the moment it was announced, one of those Jay Feaster trades where the team technically got younger and people lapped it up at first, but wasn't long before it became clear that they threw away a valuable asset to acquire magic beans.

Opportunity cost wasted.

Lindholm was fire tonight. I get frustrated with him, but he's kind of trustable in his statistics of doing the right thing up and down the ice.

Just caught up. Great comeback finish.

Duehr benched but the blender lines all dominated.

Loved Pospisil smartly doubling back with the puck in OT allowing for the change.

I don't think Duehr is long for this team under Huska.

I see.

So you're not actually bitching about Toffoli being off the team, despite what you said. You're bitching that Conroy didn't make a trade that wasn't there to be made.

JH on a 100+ point pace if he keeps up "5 in 3" the rest of the season.
