They're going to need about 40 more wins (plus some loser points), so if a new coach bump gets them 2 Ws, we're looking at 20 more coaches

To get 96 points and a WC spot, Oilers need 85 points in their remaining 65 games, or a 0.654 PP. For the rest of the season. They've had 1 season in the past 35 years where they've had that PP. Oilers season is done.

Even if they win both their games, by Thanksgiving, they will still be at least 5 points out of a playoff spot, and maybe more.
When is the last time a team that was 5 points out at that time, made the dance?
and if they lose them both, they'll be about 10 back, LOL
