If Musk thinks people will pay that, he’s nuts. People will leave in droves and those who pay will stop when the site becomes an echo chamber. It’s as if he wanted to drive Twitter into the ground.

LOL, everyone thank Musk for saving us from the Mind Virus, a true, real thing that was spreading, and now it is not. Thanks, Elon, you stupid boob.

Let's just fix that one line for ya there:

'Musk cared enough about stopping this virus that a court ordered he spend $40 billion to do so after he tried backing out of the deal.'

I think we should all agree that every time anyone says:

"As seen on 'X' Formerly known as Twitter"

A professional kicker, be it Football, Rugby or Soccer, should be legally obligated to kick Musk as hard as possible straight in the balls.

I think it was a Scott Galloway podcast where he said either Musk made the biggest branding mistake in the worlds history or he was about to re-write all of the marketing text books. At this point in think the smart money is still on the former.

Elon Musk agrees with antisemitic X post that claims Jews ‘push hatred’ against White people

https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/15/media...ple/index.html

Agreeing with an antisemitic post on his social media platform X, Elon Musk endorsed the claim that Jewish communities push “hatred against Whites.”

An X post Wednesday afternoon said: “Jewish communties (sic) have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them.” The post also referenced “hordes of minorities” flooding Western countries, a popular antisemitic conspiracy theory.

In response, Musk said: “You have said the actual truth.”

Thank #### Musk was born in South Africa, or else he'd totally be eyeing a Presidential bid

This guy is the worst and most dangerous kind of stupid; Too dumb to know how dumb he is, mixed with tons of money which comes with people egging you on and telling you you're awesome.

The only good thing about Musk owning twitter is he finally has shown the world what kind of person he really is.

I think it was pretty clear years ago when he called the rescuer of those Thai kids stuck in a cave a "pedo"

because of Musk being even more open about his anti-semitism, and their ads appearing next to anti-semitic posts,
Lionsgate, IBM and Apple have pulled advertising.

Xitter doesn't need them, it just needs Andrew Tate, and perhaps other far right nutjobs.

Quote:
"I will advertise X on X, I will literally promote your own platform on this platform," wrote Tate. "1,000,000 USD a month. You dont need other advertisers. Simply let me know where to pay @elonmusk."
Andrew Tate isn't good at math.

Quote:
To compare to the amount X has lost from fleeing advertisers, Apple alone reportedly spends more than $100 million per year on X ads. Looking at it more broadly, advertising made up 90 percent of the $5.1 billion that then-Twitter made in the year before Musk took over.

If Andrew Tate is the one trying to save Twitter, that should be clear as day evidence that far-right extremism, hate speech and trolls/chuds are making it their home of choice. Especially if said content gets their content creators paid.

Parler, Truth Social, and Twitter. Name three social platforms that enable the worst of humanity and tanked their value.

Is it wrong that I'm surprised they hadn't done it already?

And also that IBM still exists?

IBM kind of doesn't exist, at least not as you or anyone else who knew them for their consumer-facing business operations would think of them. Since divesting their personal computing business to Lenovo, IBM has been exclusively catering to enterprise customers, through hardware, professional services and managed services.

Even I had to look at their website to see what the hell they still did. Hell, they still employ 250,000 people worldwide. That surprised me.
