Or the person who was potentially victimized is NOT his wife and this is going to get uglier, much quicker for him.

Like she went ballistic. Eventually bro gets triggered, tried to stop her. Bro ended up shaking her and yelling her face "wtf are you doing Amanda, calm da #### down woman." Not necessary, but not assault.
Then she called 911, police escorted him off the property after allowing him to grab some personal items. Took statements from all of us. No charges were filed.
Never figured out if he cheated on her. It was a good night for me tho. Amanda was down for revenge. And I helped her get it, if you know what I mean. I was only 19, so it was only a couple mins of revenge, but still counts. As Shakespeare says, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

I'd wait for charges/trial, and not use a 911 call as proof of guilt or innocence.

Doesn't make sense. You're supposed to take care of each other. Look out for each other. Have each other's back. Domestic abuse from either side is the literal opposite of that.
It's just a stupefying concept for me to wrap my head around, to be honest.

Some of the posts make me laugh.
"What, Lucic was arrested for allegedly assaulting and choking his wife? I hope he is OK and can get the help that he needs!"
Nah. If the allegations are true, I hope he gets appropriately punished for it and never gets another chance to do it again. If that means getting him counseling or putting him in jail, I am fine with either. Whatever it takes to protect his partner and children.

Eh, partially, I must concede. Luckily being charged isn’t automatic guilt. I’ll withhold judgment until the disposition.

#### like this absolutely happens. They get ruled as "crimes of passion " . This a hole only got 3 years since he did this due to a technicality the prosecution instructed the jury.
I remember coming home that night everyone in tears having to tell me what happened. I remeber the fight Steven had with Kyla before storming out going home and disconnecting the phone lines ...
Sorry, I've seen stories like the one told here. Just because you guys and girls deem stories for "bro points" d9sent mean they are not real...
The most ####ed up part of this story I told was Steve dated her, they broke up . She dated Dave they broke up, she started dating Steve but flirting on MSN messenger. Steve finds out stabs Dave in the heart. 1 year later he is paroled and she sleeps with Steve multiple times while on parole. She then marries Steve's best friend devorvices him after a few years and children and marries her best friends husband after her best friend dies of cancer...
My point being is the world is #### and everyone is ####ed. Can't dismiss every crazy story .

Why? Context matters and when we get full details, then people's opinions may change one way or another.
Police get called to domestic abuse calls everyday, not everyone is the same thing. There is big difference between a yelling match, things getting smashed and thrown around and than fulling striking and assaulting someone.
He has been married to her for a long time with children and what appears to be, a great life. Sometimes people in those type of scenario's don't like to "rock the boat" so to speak, probably why incidents of spousal abuse may be reported lower in people of wealth and means.
The fact that afterwards some reporting is said that Lucic physically having his hands around his wife's neck, that's a different scenario than throwing an object at her. Context matters in the courts and in public opinion.
I don't know what happened but the fact that charges are now being laid, it indicates that this is a more serious incident. https://www.boston25news.com/news/lo...G5I575C7JS4GI/
Also, it's not that out of the realm of possibility for an athlete to be charged with assaulting someone they aren't married to.

1. You sound like an awful friend.
2. I do agree that we don't know all the details with Lucic. If the police are called to a domestic abuse situation, they almost always have to arrest someone to just de-escalate the situation and it's typically the person who got the police called on them who gets arrested. In order to place a restraining order on one party, which is standard procedure in a domestic abuse situation to keep the parties separated, at least one party needs to also be charged. Those charges are often dropped later after a "cooling off" period.
I deal with a fair bit of family law. Often I see situations where it's a mutual wrestling type situation, with the woman being aggressive. Stereotyping all women as incapable damsels in distress helps no one. I've seen men get arrested who clearly had physical injuries showing they took the brunt of the beating.
Other times, it's a controlling A-hole who is beating and strangling his female partner and deserves to be in the criminal system.
We don't actually know what happened with Lucic.

The disposition of the Lucic case. I don't care to know what the police claim someone did; I'd prefer to wait for due process.
And, yeah, I just happen to be a Modesto fan. Go Nuts.
