Yep. So unlucky and can make some bad mistakes. Arguably the fastest single lap driver but just can't seem to put it all together.

Fabulous race.
Anyone suggesting otherwise is just cranky because they were up too late. Miami race(s) no good. This was outstanding

Yeah that was quite a bit better than I thought it would be. With the cold conditions I think it makes it far more entertaining. Thinking that warm tires, better traction, it could be a DRS train.

Definitely an entertaining race.

I see Horner complained about the late nights. With the complaints about temps and times, I’m curious if they move the event to earlier in the year or earlier in the evening or both.

I’d be interested to see how warmer temps affects the racing. Seemed like an overtake friendly track. Not sure what the pit delta is here. I love races where a driver on softs has to cut through the field late to charge for the win.

I thought DRS zones were almost perfect this year. Most of the overtakes happened at the end of the straight into the corner.

Lance 19th to 5th. Overtakes shown on broadcast: 0. Quietly had a great race.

That was great. Love that the racing backed up the show.

Couldn’t watch live last night, had the PVR set to record. But WTH, somehow my recording got moved from the original time to the rebroadcast this morning at 9; it missed the formation lap and then TSN cut away early after the finish, missing the podium ceremony and Checkered Flag! Mildly annoyed…

I think 17 wins would reasonably be the greatest F1 season ever, so even though I think he wins the championship it isn't obvious to me that'll happen. If Ferrari can finish races and have reasonable pit stop strategy they should win a few, Alonso looks like he might grab one or two, and you'd think Mercedes should grab a couple.
Las Vegas was win #18. He passed Vettel for lifetime wins, broke the record for most wins and highest winning percentage in a season. Is this the best F1 season ever?

It’s difficult to come up with an argument against it. Maybe you could say it’s too easy because of the dominant car - not taking anything away from Max, he’s full marks, but in that car it’s not even close. Not a fan of that argument though, nor was I when it was used against Hamilton. You don’t get these streaks without being a superb driver.

I don’t have enough F1 history to cite a driver who had more challenging fights every race to get nearly as good a record.

He's been good the last couple races. I do wonder if he's done enough to warrant another year.

Between his preseason injuries and the shunt in Singapore, he hasn't had the easiest season.

His racecraft is there, just lacking a bit of one lap pace.

F1TV. Save you bottles and cans and get it next season. Never worry about TSN being idiots again and can watch at your leisure. FP, Qualies, F2, F3, tech shows and classic races if you’re into that, pre-post race shows. It has it all. Also, for F1, surprisingly reasonably priced.

Also, surprising was this race. Much better than anyone expected. That’s good, since this is Liberties cash cow and it was going going to get removed.

Do you get pre and post race on F1TV?

I'm in the US and I get pre race coverage, but not chequered flag.

I actually think Perez's struggles this season make the argument stronger. Perez is an experienced F1 driver who did well previously. The amount Max is outperforming him (in equally dominant cars) says a lot, imo.
