He's not exactly a brick wall. He has played in 10 games this season and allowed 4 or more in 6 of them.

I mean, the Islanders player lifted Huberdeau's stick into his own face.
Sure, he was only using one hand on his stick, but Huberdeau was just trying to disrupt the breakout
Is that lazy? Or just bad luck?

I’m looking forward to Pelletier and Coronato slotting in with these other kids once we sell off

That last shift - Huby drew two guys to him while he had possession, and all of his linemates just stood around.
Just move and get open. Flames need to move around the zone better when they don’t have the puck.

I know it's not his game but crap does Huberdeau shy away from any sort of contact. Like avoiding even breathing on someone to make a play. For a big player it's really strange.

I'm not saying this to sound mean to Huberdeau but I actually think they are assuming he is going to give it away and are preparing to cover for it

I still think they have no idea to play with the guy, no way to anticipate his passes or get open for them. And that’s why he’s lost too. Give him the Kadri treatment and staple Ruzika and Pelletier to him once. Kids are more creative and don’t have the coaches in habits yet.
