I'm too late but as a compromise and in the interest of unity in these divided, highly partisan times, I would've suggested the "all-consuming pursuit" as the new title but that we retroactively add "Mud, Sweatpants and Tiers" as the title of a previous thread that was given a low effort, low meaning title in the days before the monumental significance of E=NG thread titles was truly known and understood.

I’m not sure “Mud, Sweatpants and Tears” is compliant with the rules. It was never said by an Oiler, Oiler Management or Oiler press. I had suggested “Seismic Failure” or something like that (Truck Rally was yelling about Seismic when they looked like they might beat the Sharks) but was told it had to all be an Oiler quote.

For that reason, I object.

One option is a literal quote from the most recent coach to get fired referencing the next solution, a solution that they've been chasing for 15 years of their no goodness. It's perfect.

The other option has a reference to mud that makes no sense, a reference to sweatpants that's so old sweat pants are actually in style and a reference to tiers which admittedly is brilliant but is also a decade old. Mud, sweatpants and tiers should have been an E=NG title a decade ago and is, like the Oilers, stuck in the past.
