Excellent game, all lines played well. Kadri was excellent again.
Targeting Hughes was great. Pospsil first (and he got beaten up all game) then Coleman on the penalty.

It all lead to Hughes getting his ankles broke by Mangipane and then the terrible pass with the EN to give it up.

Just got back from perusing the hf Canucks game thread..

The progression from smug and self-assured to agitated and excuse-making was great.

Canucks fanbase is quite uh..narcissistic? when they win a few games. If that's possible for a hockey fanbase.

Like jesus, it's 16 games. A contender that don't make ya.

What was the excuse when the Leafs pounded them last week?

I don't think I've ever felt so good about a Flames goal to make it 4-1 in the 30+ yrs I've been a fan.

You could see the excitement with all the other players on the ice when he buried that, and the relief in Huberdeau. I've been hard on him myself I'll admit, but in reality nothing would make me happier than JH getting back to the player everyone knows he can be.

The key is him believing that, and I think tonight went a long way in that direction.

I believe in Huby so much that he was my pick to score on the Tim's app!

Ultimately for me, this season is free money:

-If they lose a lot, fine. Sell off the UFAs and stock up.

-If they win games, fine. I like winning.

Having said all that, there’s an endearing camaraderie/cohesiveness growing amongst this rag-tag crew (…an underdog identity that, ironically, Darryl used to love to exploit so much…)

Whatever this team is, I’m here for it!
This brand of hockey is definitely way more fun than watching the flames play overly tight hockey aiming for that not so sweet middle standings position.

Huby's confidence is at all time low, hope this boosts it a lot.

I’m so happy. Love the Flames beating this sorry team. I could watch it again and again.

Just watching the PVR. God those blasty jerseys are beautiful. Between that and our home reds we, in my biased opinion, have the best jersey sets in the NHL.

Sometimes undeserving results take a little bit to convert into losses. Just like doing the right things while losing takes a bit to turn into Ws.

I saw very little different from last year's non-playoff Canucks tonight. What am I missing?

Fatigue better have played a major factor because that was not impressive. Flames looked every bit as dynamic out there, and that's shocking considering how this team has started.

Every team now watch this game tape should target Hughes and that, will crumble the Canucks.
