Backlund doesn't act surprised when he gets a pass from Huberdeau.

They're standing still because the Flames have the puck. That's how zone defense looks. Just like the Flames stand still in their zone.

Don't confuse bad play, and not having the puck, with being tired. It's a lame and over-worked excuse. Prior to last night, they had 2 days off

Yeah they kept the shots down but they had trouble getting out of their zone. I really hate it when the forward gets the puck by the hash marks and is turned the wrong way. Makes them very vulnerable to giving up the puck.

No, that would be silly. Just the $10.5M LWers who hold the record for most assists in a single season for their position.

although he isn't scoring, i just love Mangiapanes game. Hes still my fav.

That shift before the Hanifin goal was a mini "the shift" by him. It was so good i had to watch it 4-5 times after the fact.

He drives the play into the offensive zone, sneaks around myers (loses control of puck) myers absolutely illegally checked him to the head. He gets back up gives a guy he gives about 6 inchs and 50 pounds to a couple good shots in the back and plants his ass in front of the net. Then hes in front of the net causing havok as weegar loops around. After the goalmouth scramble he is first to the corner to win the puck back to the D and gets rocked again, then goes right back to the front of the net and digs in again with myers before changing and hanifin scoring the goal. Really was mangiapanes goal in my opinon. I will always love you bread for the way you play. Heart.

The young guys showed up and lit a fire under Kadri and poof we have a first line. They also added energy and we are definitely competing harder now.

With all the shots that SEVERAL players took on Pospisil, it is incredible that not one got a penalty (other than the coincidentals)

I guess the refs are thinking that Calgary is tanking, and are doing their best to help them lose? I never complain about reffing, but that was 3 poor calls to end the period.

I'm starting to like the lines too. Maybe just swap Ruzicka and Sharangovich and I really like it

Pospisil - Kadri - Zary
Mangiapane - Lindholm - Sharangovich
Huberdeau - Backlund - Coleman
Greer-Ruzicka-Dube

Yeah I was thinking it should have been a 5 on 3, but only cause I didn't even for a second think it wasn't going to be at least a 5 on 4. I still don't understand how it wound up 4 on 4.
