Canucks will "go hard" after Zadorov in free agency if not sooner: report

“The Canucks love Zadorov. They love his size, they love his skating, they love the way he hits,” Dhaliwal said this morning on Donnie and Dhali.

“They’re gonna go hard after him. If they don’t get him in a trade, they’re going to try again on July 1st.”

It sounds like the feeling is mutual with the 6’6″, 248-pound Russian.

Hughes has told Canucks management he's a "Tanev fan": report

“There’s a ton of teams after Tanev,” CHEK’s Rick Dhaliwal reported this morning. He added that the Canucks are not one of the teams on Tanev’s no-trade list.

I can’t see the Flames not getting pounded. Tocchet really has the Canucks moving in the right direction.

If they don't check them and play physical this could turn out to be an ugly game.

Vancouver has a lot of what we don't have (skill). Need to simply bully them and give up the least amount of time and space possible.

5-3 Flames prediction

The Canucks will be exhausted. OT last night, the long travel, etc.

Flames win. Maybe.

I hope all these top3 dirty Canucks get 120 points+ this year, the team finishes in the top 3 in the league and gets bounced in the first round of the playoffs. Pay them! lol

I find this Canucks lineup much less detestable than past iterations. I hope we win but I am fine with the losses piling up.

If we get a "fun loss" like the one in Toronto sign me up, but I also enjoy watching how salty other Canadian fan bases get when the Flames beat them.

I agree on their current roster. When they had Kesler, Burrows and Bieksa and the Sedins were shameless about their diving, they were peak detestable

I find it impressive (alarming on this side) that their top scorers are basically putting up points at about 3x the pace of Calgary’s

I pretty much always prefer the Flames to win but they are kinda painful to watch so, well, whatever

I still hate the Canucks and want to beat them every time we play them. Could be a good chance to win considering they played last night. A win would have the Flames on a 4-1-1 run

They have pretty much made us the benchmark for garbage. Can’t say I completely disagree.

Vancouver still the runaway PDO leader in the league ... pucks going in and pucks staying out.

3rd in shooting percentage
3rd in save percentage

65% goal split on a 48% expected goal split.

Skill can have you boosted on both of those counts, but both and a 1.06 PDO is generally not sustainable.

But they've banked the points early so they don't need to sustain.

Tough game! I hope the Flames show up prepared for a fight.

That shooting percentage vs Marky will tell us if he is really back. Seem like it, but this is a good test. Maybe he can douse those hot shooters.

Going to this one tonight. It will be my wife's first ever NHL game, after forcing her to watch it on TV since she moved to Canada. Amazingly enough, it seems I have gotten her interested in hockey, which is in itself is a minor miracle. Looking forward to this one!

No expectations tonight after the emotional roller coaster last night.

Should be automatic win night for the Flames

Pretty excited about this game, as I'm taking my dad to see it. The first game we've seen in three seasons!

Go Flames go!
