Rasmus would be a huge return but Toronto has absolutely nothing I'm interested in

If Markstrom is willing to move he should be at or near the top of the list of guys to move.
Could bring a decent return, we have a replacement already, is old enough he won't be a factor when we are good again.

Crazy that we haven't approached him about moving if that report is true.

If that is Minten and a 3rd take that deal everyday of the week, if its Minten or 3rd I would still be fine with it but would understand waiting to see if you couldn't fool someone into giving you a 2nd.

If Andersson was going to be traded that is a summertime deal as there are way too many moving parts with the pending UFA’s.

One reason the last Flames rebuild was relatively short in terms on making he playoffs in year 3 and only picking high 3x was because they had a strong defense. Andersson and Weegar might be guys you keep but then again Andersson is likely our best chip and if a ransom could be had then so be it. I can’t see the Leafs putting together a great offer though? Liljegren, Knies, Robertson, 1st? That would make me think long and hard.

If eat Brodie to get a better return on Zadorov and Garland for a better return on Dube for sure.

The team is actually getting the better player and assets IMO

To me that means there has been interest shown but no solid offers. No reason to get in your starting goalies head unless the deal is almost set.

Really the only thing that interests me from Toronto enough to be willing to give up Rasmus

Crazy talk. He is still young enough and one of the most dynamic players in the NHL. You want to fix Huberdeau, there is an instant fix.

Watching Zadorov skate up ice brings back memories of Larry Robinson and Pete Mahovlich

What’s the point. That’s a trade to make when you have a core worth building around.

The point is you are getting one of the most dynamic players in the NHL. You are stuck with Huberdeau, you need someone for him to play with. Nylander is one of those players where it doesn't matter where your team is, he puts butts in the seats and makes your team better for years.

And the Flames will have no dcore and a massively overpaid Nylander. Time to rebuild not acquire 28 year olds.

We can agree to disagree on that one.
