Next time take her out on a boat. She won’t be able to leave because of the “implication”.

Dang that sounds like a nice meal for sure.
perhaps she assumed there was an implication or strong suggestion of a reciprocation she wasn't comfortable with. Or her relative, Aunt Flo, was visiting. So what's your next planned step on this journey? Quite sure I'm not the only curious one...

been warm enough that those stupid green-leaved crawler weeds (dunno their name) have been growing again in some areas of the lawn. Had to try to find em and pluck em out. Also found evidence of a few mice tracks in the grass underneath the leaves. Means in the spring I'll have a nice network of well-eaten pathways to fill with seed and dirt. again. sigh... unless I can kill the little buggers...

What temp did you cook the steak to? Maybe you missed the mark and that's her biggest red flag.

Try not reading too much into, there are numerous reasons outside of you that she may have wanted/needed to leave.

There was no implication or reciprocation. We've known each other for many years and have been good friends. I just thought it was odd that she didn't want to catch up on things going on in our lives (something most friends do). She didn't want to talk and just left me confused. TBQH she can be that way. She has a habit of pushing a way friends in her life and has said so.
The next step is Christmas day where i'm having a large gathering at my place for dinner and she is going to help me cook the turkey. Something we did a few years ago.
