Go ahead, tell us why he would waive to leave a hockey hotbed with a solid chance at a playoff run for the Calgary Flames. Also for those bringing up the no trade list and if Calgary is on it, for the aforementioned reasons they will be. You can't name 10 other teams more likely to be on there, go ahead and try.

Again, the small things are confusing you. Never said he would, just that it's a possibility -- even remotely -- so that's why people are discussing it.

Don’t discount topfive. He just learned how the quote function works and is now asking for forum tutorials.
A little push and he could win this thing.

I'm kind of with Rhett today after watching his mini rant.
Rip the band aid, make the trades for what they are, you're not going to get magical Xmas type returns, just purge the room because it sure as heck ain't fixed.

Oh, would you like to discuss the Makar suggestion then too? Seems about as realistic and I would much rather have Makar.

That's terrible strategy. Patience is key right now. Conroy is in the drivers seat, no reason to panic and make whatever trades are available at the moment.

No, it's just common sense. Yet you were shooting your yap off earlier about Calgary not being on his NTC, so answer the questions I posed right before your typical fly by when you don't have an answer. Go ahead Tranny, I'll wait. *Incoming grumble grumble I never said blah blah blah nonsense reply.*

Is his trade request even a big deal? Half the team is a free agent anyways, most of them will be gone.
The room is fine. THat podcast just likes to get hits and throw things out of whack.
All it really does it make Zadorov and his agent look like dummies and selfish when he called a bunch of guys out, and to turn around and ask for a trade.

Agreed - patience is key. Time is on the Flames' side right now. No point in accepting a lesser deal when there will be more options available towards the deadline as more teams will probably get involved.
The best scenario is for the Flames to just keep doing what they are doing. Lose some, win some, but stay near the bottom. Ripping the band-aid may result in the double whammy of poor returns + a sudden spike in points due to players actually being excited to play here.

I say sign and trade for Klingberg. He is presumably unmovable for Brad to most teams that would be on the list for Brad to move him to. Tell Brad we will help you out with your problem by offering Klingberg a one year 2 million dollar deal and if he bites we want the 2024 1st, Robertson and the Islanders 3rd round pick. With Brad’s cap situation it is an unmovable contract and this trade could clear the path for Brad to lead the parade down Yonge street in June.
Klingberg’s agent should tell him be sucks at hockey and should take the guaranteed 2 million bucks. Then maybe Klingberg waives.

I don't find the topic any more interesting than what color car Klingberg has. Whichever one of you is right will not prevent the implementation of any plan that Toronto has for changing their team.
|
I already know I don't think he would waive to "anywhere". Great observation, thanks.

I love it when Rhett goes off the rails
The room is probably #### so that's a valid point and worth considering. But I think Conroy is better off still waiting and seeing what's out there, it's months away from the deadline.

Not sure Dissentowner is a leafs fans but once Brad Treliving is done in that town they will be yearning for the ghost of Punch Imlach to take over and be the GM.

He sent me a very strongly worded private message yesterday informing me I've been put on his ignore list, even included a thumbs down emoji. The wound is as fresh a day later.
