Read the comment I responded to, a playoff performance only gets you paid big if you are Fernando Pisani playing for the Oilers.

Friedman: Flames have let it be known that they’ll do this on their own schedule/terms.
I just want this #%^* to be over with. Flames have been a joke ever since 1/3 of their roster let it be known they didn’t want to return during exit interviews.
This stretch of time absolutely sucks for the fans. Get these people the hell off the team. It’s no wonder the locker room is a tire fire. There’s no “team” here. The fact that the Flames thought they could match this bull#%^* back out on the ice this season is disrespectful to the fan base.
End this farce of a “team”, and start building something new.

You rather them rush it and make a bad trade?

Bollig got a better contract than he warranted because of a good POs for Chicago.

No, I want them to make a good trade. Is Conroy capable of that? If not, then he can suck an egg.
Dude has been sitting on this roster for months now. He should have a good understanding of the value of these players on the market. It’s not going to magically change. There’s plenty of teams out there that are after what we have, so get it done and let the fans start looking forward.

So you want them to make a good trade AND you want them to rush it. Sucks to be you.

How is this a rush? Conroy has been sitting here since he took the job and hasn’t accomplished anything to improve the team for today or tomorrow. It’s decidedly worse this season.

Conroy and the Flames don’t owe anything to Zadorov or his trash agent trying to grab the spot light.
Move him when it’s right for the team and make the most out of the potential bidding war whether that is now or at the trade deadline.

You need a trading partner in order to make a trade and most of the teams in the league have minimal cap space to work with.

I would rather watch Conroy sit on his hands and wait for the right offer than trade these guys for spare parts just to appease us as fans.

Sitting on the roster because the market hasn't brought what he thinks his assets are worth.
Which requires more patience, not less.
Being in a hurry makes little sense. Not doing it now if someone pays what he thinks Zadorov is worth makes little sense.

It's a rush because you want a trade to happen right now, in immediate response to Zadorov's trade request, AND you want it to be the best trade Conroy could possibly get. Never mind that demand for players increases as the trade deadline approaches. No, you want the best possible deal at a time when the best possible deal is never available.
That's the rush.
And as I say, it sucks to be you, and to have such expectations.

It does suck and Milstein posting what he did is a bad look for the team.
The Flames players who are locked in and need to make it work in Calgary should be pissed off about it, because it certainly doesn't help. I get it if Zadorov wants to try his luck somewhere else if he feels he isn't in the long term plans in Calgary, and by all means, ask for a trade. But making it public is a dick move.
