Ah, I see - you've misunderstood my intent. I don't think Flames fans or anyone are saying the Flames have accomplished anything or are good. I think the fans just don't care that the team is struggling right now and are instead celebrating ecstatically because this is just far too much fun.

Edmonton is 112th in a 32-team league. They're in a league of their own.
In case anyone was wondering (they weren't), the Sharks are still terrible. Pedestrian shutout for Vegas tonight, 5-0. They just looked like a real team when playing the Oilers.

Hilarious Holland is taking the blame when he is just the culmination of nearly two decades of organizational incompetence.
I think he legit just wants to be fired so he can collect his 5M a year contract as he sits in his retirement home. I think he has one more year after this one.
