I kind of want to keep Zadorov. I really like him here, even if people think he isn’t worth an extension.

As long as we move Hanifin and Tanev as well as guys upfront. Keeping Zadorov as a guy to eat minutes during a rebuild is fine, having him part of a team that thinks it can compete no thanks.

Zad has the attitude and the leadership that I want on this team. Is he Maker or Hedman, no, far from it. But I think he may actually have a little bit of a higher ceiling, and perhaps if they spend more time developing him he’ll prove it.
Fantastic player to have through a rebuild, I know he could get a decent return but that’s a guy I’d want on my team to guide the young ones.

Just blow it up. Trick Tre into taking Zadorov. Give Tanev back to Vancouver. Ship Lindholm to play with his buddy Gaudreau. Send Hanafin back to the US.
