You can add another +1 for me. After 20+ years of living in Alberta, I recently relocated to BC. My job switched to full-time remote during the pandemic, so I was no longer tied to Calgary for employment reasons. The UCP government wasn't the only reason I decided to leave, but it absolutely 100% was a contributing factor in my decision.

Unless those are all skilled workers and medical professionals, that's not going to have the effect you think it will.

Wife wants Osoyoos I want Nova Scotia, we're going to spend a week at each to try to convince one another, have some fun with it. Although I'm sure she'll win and I never really had a say in the matter, but that's okay, I actually like her choice too.

Osoyoos is nice. My concern would be increased wildfire issues in the area as the effects of climate change worsen.
Mind you, I guess Atlantic Canada has to deal with hellish winter storms, hurricanes, etc., so pick your poison.

We left for a few reasons, politics played into it for us as well (not the only reason) due to the contract uncertainty in healthcare a couple of years ago and in no short part due to Shandro being an absolute ass to physicians and the AMA. Found better opportunity in Ontario.

Exactly.
I'm pretty replaceable, no shame in admitting it haha. I had only been with CFD for a few years. But my wife, that's going to leave yet another large hole in a position that's already been understaffed for years

I’m sure Alberta will qualify for UBI so you might as well stay.

I visited Nova Scotia for the first time earlier this year. What a beautiful place, and such friendly people. If I ever decide to leave BC, that would definitely be a place I would consider. Osoyoos is quite nice as well.
I left Alberta in 2015 and have spent the last 8 years in North Vancouver. BC certainly has its problems, but overall I'm pretty satisfied with the quality of life here, and I love my current job and the friends I've made here over the last several years. There were a few rough months back in 2017 when I briefly considered a possible move back to Calgary, but after the Kenney s*** show and now Smith, and seeing the damage the UCP and their deplorable far-right minions are doing to my once beloved home province, I doubt I'd ever go back at this point.

Aren't you allergic to heat? I couldn't do Osoyoos for that reason alone.

And you worked for CFD? That seems a mismatch.

After dismissing the Ethics Commissioner, the UCP has decided to give themselves the ability to set how much they can be bribed. I would say this is criminal, but they'd probably just change the definition of crime.

This could end up being the most corrupt government in Canadian history, and that is a pretty ####ing high bar to top.
