They have got worse the last three years. I love Gio but him and Brodie have not improved the defense like they needed and the secondary forwards they have added did nothing.
Can’t remember if it was possible or the same summer but adding Pietrangelo or a guy like him would have been so much better than Tavares.

I tend to agree, as other guys like Hanifin and Lindholm can get more, but I wouldn't necessarily say no, depending on the price other teams are willing to pay. I don't believe in dealing everyone away, as it's hard to rebuild with compete with skinny young kids, but people who can bring back value and are playing at their peak should be looked to get value from.

Leafs got a case of Edmonton-itis thinking loading up on offense would compensate for everything else.
Never emulate the oilers.

One thing about the Leafs is when they're playing with the lead and it's a close game, they're always holding on for the win in OT. I would almost put money on it that the Flames tie it up and the Leafs win in OT.

Tanev is dropping off a cliff. Always late to the puck. Hanafin , a hit and miss.

Once again the Flames will be shocked by the revelation (like they were with Zary, Pospisil etc) that the solutions were under their noses the whole time.
But I'm not going to underestimate their potential to turn around and put a tweaked markstrom in tomorrow because points.
