OHHH the fake outrage. Is your ass still chapped that you were 100% wrong about Rasmus and his hit? hhahahaha

You seriously need a break or you are going to stroke out this season. chill dude.

this is ironic
also
"I didn't watch the game just the highlights so I am obviously and expert on what happened out there"
you were presented with data that supported my point and went straight to personal insults. The mark of someone without the knowledge or data to backup their position losing a debate.

Markstrom:
- expected goals against: 4.192
- actual goals against: 4
- goals saved above expected: 0.192
Sounds pretty good, right?

Seems like he has not had the chance for number one. His current NHL save percentage is .958 so he is off to a good start in achieving that option though.

But overall Markstrom has been quite good this season ... including the game against Edmonton, which is where I'll place my focus.
|
2-6-2 and the game against the Preds we completely dominated the Preds. Mike Smith with 2 pulled groins could have beat them.
Which is good. We owed Marky a few games where he could take a night off and still win.

How is he supposed to go about earning it when stuck in the AHL? He has killed it at every level since getting drafted, yet here he is getting labelled as someone who hasn't earned his spot.
But Vladar has earned his spot thanks to 25 games in Providence in 19-20? (thats for dino, not you btw)

just ignore the 19-4 high danger chances in a 4-2 game but yeah goaltending totally blew it
and the 4th goal which bounced 5 feet in the air off a frozen football field and into the top corner

You just keep altering the topic ...
First I was an apologist.
Then I guess a closet Oiler fan.
Now it's the team's win / loss record.
Sorry that you're a Flames fan that has to face the fact their goaltender is playing better than he did last season. What a cross to bare.

I mean, more than one person looks like they may "stroke out" here.

Next you are going to tell him the Pacific division isn't the worst division in hockey

From a great source I heard Markstrom might be traded. I’m not sure who will want him, but just sharing what I heard.

Markstrom still needs to work the 'Markstrom Muffin' out of his game.
We dont score enough goals to have an absolute laugher once a game on the regular.
Outside of that he's been pretty good this season.

I'm not ignoring anything. 3 of the 4 goals against were off of low-danger shots. A goalie's job is to save the low-dangers, battle for the medium-danger, and then make your $$$ off of the high-dangers.
But it's like a waterfall. In order to reap the benefits of the higher-quality saves, you have to make the lower-qualty saves. Nobody cares that you stopped 6 breakaways if you left in 3 softies.

I don't think it is outlandish. Having a better start to the season and New Jersey, Carolina, and Toronto all need a better goalie. I don't think he'd be worth much more than a 2nd or 3rd at full cap though.

I think an outdoor game also gets a * or three
goal 4 isn't a softie...its a ridiculous bounce that only happens on an outdoor rink.
to win that game he needs to allow 1 or less because the Flames didn't show up...Markstom was the only reason it was a game at all in the third period.

Or they did call up Wolf just to mess with us!
Its Edwards' long-term plan to stir the fan base into a frenzy.
He's playing 5D chess!

none of those teams have that much cap for one
NMC
seems unlikely, to say the least

Also...letting in softies really deflates the entire team in front of him and that low morale carries forward.
Then you get into not trusting your goalie, people start over-playing and it just becomes a whole process.
