How long till Walsh chimes in?

According to Sec214, Walsh already had team meeting with Jonathan and Flames mgmt today.

Duehr's body language wasn't great either in the one shot I saw of him on the bench in the third (I don't notice any shot of Greer). If players weren't showing displeasure at being sat, there'd be posters all over those players saying they don't care enough.

My last post on CP one year ago got me some heat but I stand by it:
"Huberdeau is not a fit, he's getting paid to be a point producer and our offence is garbage.
Another 8 years of this for 10.5 million a year. Its not quite as bad as James Neil vibes but they are similar."
I would be thrilled if we could dump the cap, otherwise its 7.5 more years of purgatory for Flames fans.
Tre's 6 month performance prior to leaving might be one of the worst GM stretches in league history.

The six month after leaving hasn't been a walk in the park either...
Reaves, Domi, Bertuzzi, Klingberg...

I am sure if there is a reasonable trade out there it will be done. I don't think there is without retention and Edwards doesn't retain

It's almost a given that he would love to be in a different situation but a trade isn't realistic. I would hope he and his agent understand that.
If Walsh makes a bunch of public noise about him wanting out, Huby's life only gets harder IMO.

He wasn't pouting or sad the entire 3rd period, he showed a moment of frustration and that's all anyones going to talk about is that moment

I don't think you are taking a run at BarnBurner (although some on this thread have) but Boomer did mention the Coleman thing. Also, Rhett wasn't taking a run at Huberdeau at all, he was not happy with Sportsnet panning and isolating on Huberdeau on the bench, he felt bad for Huberdeau.
Rhett and Noodles were actually empathizing a lot with Huberdeau and questioning why sitting a player is viewed as such a major thing.
Reading some of the replies on here, you'd think BarnBurner was just having a whole lot of fun taking runs at Huberdeau.
Context is everything. Should listen, read and see everything for yourself.

This keeps the pace up, and works to his advantage as he doesn't have a fast "first stride".
And just shoot more. Just. Shoot. More. Stop looking to pass at every oppo. Just. Shoot. Eventually the passing will return.

I think it would do wonders for him. It's an issue I noticed even in his Florida games. I know there's a lot of talk of psychology and Huberdeau himself talking about a lack of confidence. But I don't think it's confidence, confidence is a byproduct of his output. Going through an 82 game season, all players go through ups and downs. But from what I have seen, regardless of whether he's in a "hot streak" or a "cold stretch," there isn't much difference in how he performs or how effective he is. It's even been reported that he saw a sports psychologist and I don't see any change or improvement in his game.
So to me, it's not mental, it's physical and his biggest issue right now is skating IMO. If he just spent a few weeks working on power skating and agility drills, I think every aspect of his game would improve. Speed and efficiency affords you more time and space in hockey and that's something Huberdeau badly needs. If he could just gain a little more separation speed and hold on to pucks just a little bit longer, then more lanes and more options would open up as opposed to right now where he's constantly rushed into mistakes and turnovers.

This is when peoples skating ability starts to take a hit to hope for improvement at this stage in his career is crazy.
His skating is what it is.

He's been here a year. He's played a lot of games. Being benched sucks, I like how he's responding in the media, I'm also glad that Huska didnt 'pile on.'
But at this point? What does Huberdeau need to do?

I feel bad for the guy, I know he isn't playing well right now but it's not like he's James Neal or something. From all accounts he's trying hard, working to get out of the funk and he's being a good teammate. He seems like a good dude and I am rooting for him and will try to tone down my critical posts. Hopefully he can start clicking with some players and becoming the player we all hoped he would be.

The guy just needs to stfu and work.
No body language pouting, no garbage. Just stfu, and get to work. Work hard every shift. That simple.
