I think it's been posted before since it's old... but I was just looking for this a couple days ago and couldn't find it. Thanks for posting it!

I've had a link to it for months. You can rank the music it plays and it will try and conform to your preferences.
You may want to make a few station for different 'styles' you may be in the mood to hear. There is another service that does similar things but I can't recall the name off the top of my head.

There is something similar I think on Yahoo? Launchcast I think? You rate songs, albums and artists and then it (attempts to) plays music that is more tailored towards your particular tastes.

Launchcast is amazing...a wide variety of artists and a easy format for picking the music you want.

I was listenint to Pandora over a year ago. Mainly at work, until it got blocked.
There is another one (not sure if it is still broadcasting), Last.fm was pretty good too.
But I imagine alot of these internet radio sites are going to be shutting down as the the RIAA starts issuing cease and desist letters.

Pandora's good...definitely old news though
Last.fm is another one, it will keep track of what you listen to in itunes or windows media player and then recommend new artists that are similar, and i think you can listen online similar to pandora as well.

Yup, currently working fine for me from the SAIT campus network. Using Firefox as well, although I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

I believe that many webcasters are going to end up pulling the plug. As long as they are small they will fly under the radar, but as soon as they become successful some IP enforcement group will snuff them out.
And the quote from the blog said the plug will be pulled on Canada tomorrow
Quote:
Much to our chagrin, on the heels of our being forced to block virtually our entire international listening audience, we now have to add Canada to the list (beginning May 16th).

Oh man, I got an email just now saying that Pandora has recognized my IP as Canadian and is shutting down my account. Guess I'll have to make a new one and run it through anonymouse.....hopefully that works.

Web broswer doesn't make a difference, it goes by IP.
As well, the reason you and I can still get on it is because tomorrow is the date it stops.
From their blog, which I posted a link to earlier:

Interesting thought, as long as the anonymizer gives you a "U.S." IP. To bad we block those sites from my office though.
