A messenger bag or similar is just fine.

Fanny-packs specifically, no.

Have messenger bags ever been fashionable? Maybe for a brief period in the mid-2000s?

Fanny-packs are only acceptable in a few select sporting cases(runners, XC-skiing wax bag). And no, that doesn't include riding an E-bike.

Yeah, messenger bags? I thought only nerds-who-think-they're-cool wear those. I feel like messenger bag guys think they're classy or something. Even I know that's not the case and I'm rolling in a fanny pack with a fake smoke.

My wife and I are both being inundated by this email scam that someone has recorded us watching porn and pleasuring ourselves. She’s had dozens in the last day or so and they go back months; literally, I’ve had hundreds. I won’t, but feel like emailing back telling them to F off and leave me alone. As far as beer grinders go, this is high.

My ex was like that. I wouldn't have minded so much except she'd want to take it down on Boxing Day. So having it up November 3rd is fine, but on December 28th it's preposterous...

Some of that might be companies who put up lights for a business. They need to extend their season as much as possible. I noticed them out starting November 1.

Still haven’t seen anyone put up their actual tree.

Maybe stop pleasuring yourselves in front of the webcam? That's how I was able to get them to sending me those.

18" long rolls of construction drawings, tape measure etc., don't fit into a fanny pack very well.

What's with the disdain on messenger bags? I frequently use a messenger bag. Never once have I thought it was cool looking. It was just practical and I preferred it over a backpack or sling bag.

It's a messenger bag. Previously used and designed for storage of messages (ie: Mail) easy to quickly thumb through the contents of the bag. A type of workingman accessory. It's not an attaché case or anything upscale or fancy like that. It's perhaps on par with something like a pauper's cap. You don't wear it to be cool, you wear it because it fits with what you're usually doing.

If I was doing that the scammer would have carried out his threat by now. It’s been happening for years. My email address used to be published in newspaper and online articles and was probably harvested; I get tonnes of spam (likely more than many here get in total).

"Hello friend. I am sad to say we have video of what you have done. We do not wish to harm you or your family and friends but if you force us to. we must. please purchase $500 xbox card online and send us the code and pin or we will send the vidoes to all you know. It is very bad video. We saw all that you did and more. Where did you get so much clay anyways?"
