Autocorrect is supposed to learn your habits over time. I think in recent updates, it reset that learning so it started behaving like it was years ago.
I know I recently dealt with something similar after I reset swift key to address some weird patterns from an air bubble under my old screen protector and that's been an adventure.
You can teach your autocorrect by holding down the predicted words and deleting them. Delete ducking and other dumb predicted words you don't normally use will help you get the right predictions going forward. After a few months, the predictions aren't as badly off anymore.

I realize that this sounds crazy, but the blackberry autocorrect was so good. It would learn from what you type and start suggesting the normal stupid ones I get on my iPhone now.

One of my great fears has always been that something will fall out of my pocket during a movie and I will have to crawl on my hands and knees on a theater floor to find it.
my lovely wife lets me empty my pockets into her purse when we see a movie.

Dudes. Have you not heard of fanny packs?
I'm not even talking about the '80s ones. I wear a running belt. I keep all my crap in it (super thin wallet and vape pen on one side; keys and headphones on the other side). Only thing in my pocket is my phone.
You literally cannot tell I'm wearing it. It's invisible. It's the best when you're changing jeans or shorts or whatever. Just unclip the belt and all your stuff is right there.
For $12, give it a shot. I swear it's a life changer. You'll never go back.

Wear pants with a buttoned back pocket and then you can avoid the shame of the fanny pack, despite how cool Sliver says they are.

I'm not sure if I'm saying they're cool from a visual standpoint since the whole point is to be imperceptible. They're cool from a practical perspective.
Also, I can't believe I was able to spell "imperceptible" without using autocorrect. I'm a terrible speller, so that was a great way to start the day. My gut was saying "-able" at the end...but went with the "-ible" and look at that. Progress.

Now I'm curious what you guys are carrying around that it's an issue? I don't even bring my wallet around 90% of the time these days, just a small car key fob and my phone

Back in the pack, tucked into the rolled up sleeve of his t-shirt.

I'm like a squirrel with those. I have one on my desk at work. One on my bedside table at home. One in my door pocket of my car. One in my door pocket of my work truck. One in my wife's car. Last one is on my dresser...that's my "goin' out" one. I'll just shove it in my pocket - if I break or lose it I have a pack of spares.

Wait, you carry both a vape pen and a fake cig?
The deeper this gets the more questions I have
