Hallowe'en... someone was giving out "Candy Sticks" which were in a smaller rectangular box approx 3/4" x 2" x 1/8", Candy were long white sticks that looked identical to a hand-rolled smoke/weed, and image on the box was of Popeye flexin' and almost looking like he was smoking something. That made its' way into the "suspicious pile" and so had to be consumed by me.
Along with the Baileys "candy" that someone else was giving out to kids.

Do you guys wash your bread knife after you cut a single bun? I mean if it’s dry and there is no doughy cling ons - It goes back on the knife rack right?

Those Popeye candy sticks were originally candy cigarettes but had to be rebranded for obvious reasons.

I doubt the Baileys candy has alcohol (I saw them on sale at the dollar store) but that’s still a weird thing to give to kids.

If I can wipe it off with my finger, back in the block it goes. My wife also loves it when I wipe the counter with my hand instead of the cloth

I put it back in the rack because that bugs the hell out of my wife. Married 51 years and she still can’t break me.

If you’ve cut dry bread, what are you even washing off? People have gone way too far with washing and sanitizing every little thing.

I'll at least give it a wipe with a dish or paper towel, although that probably does very little.

Unless you're doing a full wash with dish soap, etc, your dish cloth is likely a net negative to the sanitary condition of a bread knife that just cut a dry bun.

There was a doctor speaking at a small seminar today. He brought everyone eggs from his farm.
surprising, but pretty awesome to be sitting here with a dozen farm fresh eggs.

Well that's more eggciting than your avatar presents it.

I type this with a fake cigarette in my mouth, btw. Just got out of my car where I have another fake cigarette so I don't have to take them here there and everywhere. Always have one where I need it. I still feel cool with them and the feeling outweighs any self-consciousness or doubts one could have about the coolness of a fake cigarette.

Guyliner on the other hand...I think the self consciousness would outweigh the cool feeling. Maybe I'll just horse around the house with it.
Hey man, you’re the one asking. This kind of stuff is so far on the spectrum of “uncool” that even us normal-nerdy guys can be pretty blunt about it. Literally no one here will tell you these are “cool” ideas.

And yeah I might wear like Super Mario socks and talk about Star Trek movies or whatever but I’m also not wearing them under the misconception they make me look cool, lol. I just do stuff like that cause I like them. That’s why if you just said “hey I’m doing this weird or goofy #### cause that’s my personality and I don’t give a ####” — great, more power to you. But if you’re doing it in an attempt to impress people or project a certain image, you’re not on the right track.

Idk man. I'm out here just getting back to my hotel in the middle of the night and I feel like my crew hit it out of the park. Had the fake cigarette in my mouth the whole time. I realize it seems ridiculous, but I feel good with it and it seems to invite cool people to have fun conversations with us. Don't know what to tell you.

Family member uses clean measuring cup to scoop rice into pot. Uses same cup to measure water. Cup gets put into dishwasher. Why?

Rice is dirty. Do you not wash your rice? I find it easier just to pour in rice right from the bag into the rice cooker and just use the finger to measure out water after I rinse the rice

Rice isn’t dirty. You don’t wash rice to clean it, you wash it to get rid of extra starch which can make it stickier/mushier.
