If only there was a whole back and forth between you and several other people in the thread you’re in right now that should make the answer to this completely obvious.
Ah well. Tough to follow conversations you’re participating in.

Funny how just asking questions and getting clarification on amount totals illicit so much negative response. Surely one Province doesn’t make or break a pension?

Hey Yoho, how many policy platform proposals are you going to introduce at the UCP AGM? I'm going to guess six, in honor of the number of letters in the name of our nation's capital.

I stated earlier that if guards are raping female inmates, that is a problem that needs to be solved.

So you agree that the UCP is not focusing on the right problems?

It’s actually just a question, you don’t need to answer it if it makes you uncomfortable, I know it can be difficult when you’ve made the UCP part of your identity.
You’re not anti-trans, you just support an anti-trans proposal under the guise of “protecting women” that doesn’t actually address any of the actual major safety concerns facing women in prison, while advocating for major tax dollars be spent to solve this “problem” despite repeatedly complaining about taxes under the guise of caring about the poor.
Basically a caricature.

Quite the word salad there.
UCP is not my identity, please quote where I said it was.
The “problem” you speak of;
https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-...lity-rcna38947
Quote:
Sperrazza said “decisions related to an incarcerated person’s housing are made within the parameters of the settlement agreement which requires consideration of gender identity and the health and safety of the individual.”
The ACLU of New Jersey did not provide a response to NBC News’ requests for comment regarding Minor’s prison transfer.
Minor, who is serving a 30-year prison sentence for manslaughter, impregnated the fellow inmates earlier this year following consensual sexual relationships, Sperrazza confirmed. He added that even consensual sex between inmates is prohibited in the state.
|
There are two side to the story, so take it with a grain of salt.
Quote:
“As a woman who is transgender I truly fear what lies ahead for me, its clear that staff have looked for some kind of security reason to kick me out of the only female correctional facility,” Minor wrote in the post, which was published Friday. “They have thrown me to the wolfs and expected for me just gave up, I am baffled and disgusted by this use power and I can only ask that the commissioner and governors office please send me back. I don’t deserve to be treated like this.”

I have listened to most of Nate Horner's comments on Alberta exiting the CPP and starting an APP. Prior to yesterday's Finance Ministers meeting he was framing Alberta starting their own Pension Plan as Alberta being a champion for all of Canada. How magnanimous of him and Alberta! He obviously hasn't read the room. When I listen to him it is hard to believe he is Alberta's Finance Minister. He reminds me a lot of Theoren Fleury just not as many "you knows".
This all has to be a big distraction.

It's not.
It's going back to the problem of "reducing sexual assault in prisons". We shouldn't get focused on some narrow solution instead of examining the actual problem to be solved and the many various solutions which seem entirely more effective at solving that problem.

The big distraction has been the trans/rape story. Raping pensioners is the ultimate goal.

I don’t recall anyone saying they shouldn’t be looking at more solutions for women’s safety in prisons. In fact, someone brought up assaults by guards. If it is an issue, it should also be addressed. That issue, along with this should both be looked at as means of protecting women.

So clearly explain why you believe the UCP’s proposal is protecting women and trans women.

It doesn’t make you question the UCP’s philosophy when they specifically go after trans people instead of guards? Or even acknowledge that there are more issues that need solving to keep women safe in prisons?
You really have to disable the critical thinking part of your brain to not recognize that the UCP are less concerned about prisoner safety than they are about scoring one against Team Trans.

Nobody is trying to score against Team Trans. Just trying to keep Team Trans from scoring on woman in prison.
