I like Desimone, he’s a big part of the Wranglers success the last couple years.

I’ve liked DeSimone’s game in the AHL and he can probably fill in the role of a #6/7 adequately

The NHL misspelled his last name in the URL.

Nope. He replaces Oesterle and Pospisil replaces Coronato. 2 in, 2 out today.

I didn't love his game with the Flames last year. In 4 games in relatively sheltered minutes he was on the ice for 1GF, 5GA.
That said, best of luck to him, hope he makes the most out of this opportunity. It's a good reward for doing well in the AHL.

I'm all for giving those who starred for the Heat/Wranglers these past few seasons a legit look. Happy for both Pospisil and DeSimone, and good on the front office to reward them. Plus, it's not like we have anything to lose ...

Interesting that Pospisil has been recalled. I would have bet that the next call-up is Klapka. I also think that Pospisil had a terrible camp, but he certainly seems to be doing well on the Wranglers now. They are both RFAs after this season, and I think it is a no-brainer re-signing Klapka, but Pospisil will be more of a question mark. Hope he stays healthy, does really well and earns himself another deal.

Scoring Winger
|
The Flames scouts and other team scouts made note of players who stood out for the Wranglers last weekend. More scouts at those games than usual. Not abnormal necessarily but notable based on the focus and attention given.
Pospisil stood out and really brought a lot of energy and grit. Certainly something the big club has been lacking. Klapka was good but did not particularly stand by comparison.
Zary was of course the most noted and to me it seemed obvious he would up soon.
Desmone was solid much like last year. On D Kuznetsov also played well. Won’t be surprised if he gets a call up at some point if he continues to play well.

You're doing it wrong. Try this:
"The Flames are such idiots! Now Conroy is juggling the roster as much as Huska is juggling the lines! Clown show! Next they're gonna start juggling everyone's equipment and make them where each other's skates!!"

DeSimone and Gilbert made for a good pairing when they were both up last season.

Meh
Why not, would rather see new guys making mistakes than the old guys even if Osterle was only here for a short time.

I would have gone with Solovyov for a few more games but whatever....not like this is going to be the downfall of the season.

Love the rotating door with the farm but can we start trading some of the rot away and get those sweet picks rolling in?
Let's send some of the lazy vets to Arizona and San Jose.
